Excellent customer service and care for animals. Rang up yesterday afternoon (5:15pm) as my dog was entered in the Royal Canberra Show today, they had no appointments available but after I explained my circumstances 2 vets worked late (at usual price) gave a comprehensive examination and were able to turn the dog around in 12 hours to my amazement this morning. My usual vet had seen her 3 times prior and the condition had not improved. AMAZING work - can't say enough about the professionalism, genuine care for animals and their can do attitude!!! I have had all my animals attend this vet. Not only are the vets wonderful but the girls on front desk are fantastic. Im heavily pregnant with twins and nothing is ever a hassle and my animals think its a holiday coming here due to all the attention they get. If i could rate the 11/10 i would! I have been attending GVH for the past several years. During this time they have been there when I had to put down my 16 year old dog ( Patches) providing with support and time on the sad day then the following day receiving flowers. I took my puppy to puppy classes at Gunghalin vet . I own a Boerboel puppy. Cause he is a big powerful breed we also hired a personal trainer from another training company to do obedience classes for him at home more like one-on-one session. One of the nights we went to puppy class we were casually chatting with trainer (Vicki) and I mentioned how he is having extra training and she didn't like I was using some other trainer ( another service provider) and constantly convinced how they use harming techniques to train the dog . After good 10 min I dismissed her opinion cause I am present during the training session and I would not let anyone do that to my pup. The next day she got my personal mobile details from the vets and she a started texting me to stop "hurting my puppy" by hiring this other company as trainers . I felt terrible that some one could pass their judgements cause they can and management would hand over my personal details to this trainer with out my permission. I spoke to reception and sent details and they were supposed to follow up on the matter and get back to me . 2 weeks later I rung to see what happened and was told" they were busy to call back and let me know how their conversation Went with their dog trainer " . Today I said goodbye to my beautiful old dog, Polly. I would like to thank the staff of Gunghalin Veterinary Hospital for the kindness and patience you extended to me and Polly today. You made a very difficult event so much easier. Thank you for allowing me to spend time with Polly at the end so I could comfort her and say goodbye properly. Thankyou for handling the organisation of her cremation. But most of all thank you for allowing my beautiful old dog to pass away peacefully and with dignity. You are truly wonderful people. These pricks absolutely have no compassion for animals and extort money out of you before they'll fix your animal.... I haven't forgotten you Tony and you will be refunding my money after lying to me about the health of my dog and for running tests and an operation that was pointless.... my dog had to be put to sleep eight days after your "treatment" ,your bullshit attitude and after extorting nearly $2,000 out of me and my partner at the time.... We used to get our cat clipped at this vet. On multiple occasions we have noted her to have small cuts to her skin and instead of leaving chest and facial hair untouched as requested they would fully shave- annoying, but not a big problem. The last time we picked our girl up nothing was said by the staff, after we got home we found they had shaved every inch of her including shaving off ALL of her whiskers!!
