Sonza Veterinary Clinic & Boarding Kennels is a small family owned pet care business located between Queanbeyan and Bungendore. Sonza is owned and opperated by Dr John Montgomery BVSc (Melb.) and his wife Mrs Gillian Montgomery. John has been a qualified veterinarian for nearly 40 years. Gill has numerous qualifications herself, including a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (with specialist certificate in Critical Care & Emergency and a specialist certificate in Surgical Nursing), a Diploma in Equine Management and a Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training. She was national president of the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia in 2010 and has taken on the role again for 2012.
We take pride offering quality professional care for our client's animals with friendly staff that offer warm care to all patients. We offer a boarding facility for cats and dogs as well as an on site veterinary clinic for all your pet's health and well being needs. 4 stars lost on labelling my dog ‘aggressive’ and demonstrating zero knowledge on dog breed personality, traits and characteristics. The nurse starred down at him constantly asking ‘what? what?’ (please google what eye contact from an unknown person means to a dog) and produced a Patient history document with the wrong breed name on it.
Also, they didn’t seem to understand what ‘He doesn’t trust strangers’ means or they did but got offended by it?
AND if you were unable to examine him, as per your notes, why charge the extra $35 for health check?
Please please educate yourself on basic dog psychology and personality, and breed variety. Will be a fun read and might make other dog owners’ visits more pleasurable (and dogs less agitated).
Not everyone owns cuddly poodles and doodles.

Over a few months I tried to get the vet to contact me several times over an issue with there service that they provided and changed for They gave me misleading information now they say it's not there problem and there not interested in talking to me about it. total incompetence they use cheap pricing to get you in the door but cheap work comes with it you're just another number there're. So finally John call me back to day I answer the phone then straight after he abuses me for a minute and a half tells me I'm a fucking dick head and do not call here again without even listening to what I had to say so john if your Reading this you're a telephone tuff Guy and an absolute coward that would no let me speak. And if I listen to John Advice my dog would only have three lakes now

We have two Maremma sheep dogs (not ideal for suburbia), but that was a mistake we made ten years ago. One of these boys has bad hips and the other won't let us cut his nails and knots. Dr John, Gill and their staff are fantastic. They have looked after all our dogs for many years. They don't charge through the nose, they fully care for their animals and will do whatever possible to do the right thing by the clients and their pets and animals. I highly recommend them as one of these in the ACT region.

Love Dr John and most of his staff . They are kind and realise how important pets are. Especially in a family like mine with four kids and one autistic child. Also truly they are the best prices around, Dr John has even come to my house for vaccinations that cost less then driving them to the vet up the road, now that's saying some thing!

They don't charge through the nose, they fully care for their animals and will do whatever possible to do the right thing by the clients and their pets and animals. I highly recommend them as one of these in the ACT region.
