Can't recommend the Canberra Equine Hospital highly enough. Everyone from reception staff, vet nurses and vets were absolutely fantastic. My 7 month old foal severely lacerated her hind pastern and hoof and needed surgery and a cast to help start the healing process. Cannot say enough good things about the staff, the compassion and the care they give both the horses and their owners....didn't matter the time of day or night, didn't matter if I was talking to the nurses, the vets or the office staff, I was kept informed at all times of my horse's progress, regular updates on my bill and discussions about treatment plans and the best way forward. I was completely across all pathology results, scans and meds and felt informed and part of the team that was working hard to save my horse's life. They did save him, he did come home and I can't thank them enough for buying me some more time with him before he eventually passed away a couple of months later in my arms. The service continued after his passing though, with assistance in burial and cremation contact details and lovely texts and notes from the staff. Just amazing - thank you.Read Less
