Not all vets look after birds, but these guys came recommended by another vet. We've only been here once with our little avian patient, and had quite a positive encounter. It is a relatively long drive from Gungahlin, but worth while if you have a sick or injured bird. Friendly and helpful reception and personalised care. You may receive a reminder sms and welcome letter in the mail in your pet's name, on top of having your pet receiving good care. Read Less

Never have I had such amazing service from a vet! My cat had to have some dental work done. I was welcomed by a lovely vet nurse who made sure I was fully aware of the procedure and risks, then I received a text message when Puss was in recovery after surgery, then on pick up a consultation with Isabel the lovely vet, which included viewing photos and x-rays so that she could fully explain the situation. To top that off I had a follow up phone call the next day to check how she was going after surgery. I take my two Devon Rex cats to Inner South. The staff have always been very courteous, helpful and professional - from the receptionists through to the vets. They obviously have a passion for the health and welfare of animals. They follow up when any procedure is done by telling you how the animal is directly afterwards, then with phone calls a day or two afterward to ensure all is well. The Vets also research any issues and advise of a course of action which I found very comforting. I have also utilised their Cattery service and found that they treated my animals as if they were they own (which is want you want!). Read Less

Our beloved dog Bibi, a friendly & submissive girl, was savaged by two dogs by a river at 5pm on a week day. Bibi and I were both in shock but we managed to get to the Inner South Veterinary Centre in 20 minutes. Within two minutes Dr Amanda Nott had called us into her room. Amanda explained that Bibi would be given pain-killing and antibiotic injections, & examined. She would need surgery. Amanda was, as always, calm, professional & caring. She reassured me that Bibi would be all right, asked how I was, &recommended that I report the attack. That evening and the next morning I received SMS updates on Bibi's condition. When I picked her up, Amanda explained exactly what surgery Bibi had received &gave clear instructions about her care, medication, & required follow-up visits. It's a terrible experience, having your pet savaged & unable to do anything. Bibi received the best care from all the staff involved. She is recovering well. The Inner South Vet Centre's Drs Isabelle Resch & Amanda Nott & the nurses have given our Four Paws excellent healthcare (our late cats Stella and Tobit, & now Perseus; & our late dogs Folly, Vita, &Tom-Tom, & now Bibi). I trust their advice implicitly. Highly recommended practice. Heartfelt thanks, all. Read Less
