The business shows a repeated lack of accountabillity and has lied directly in their response here. Claiming there vet diagnosed a tick falsley, he said "it was unlikely a tick as he had a gag reflex". Tell us if you are so convinced that Gary was sure it was a tick why did he not conduct a proper tick search? Does this require a full vet hospital to do this? No it doesn't it requires dedication and focus, 2 things that Gary did not exhibit aside from his focus on getting astro out of his joke of a clinic. If we had followed this vets advice we may not have located the tick and our dog could have died. This vet claims that it was unsafe to lift our dog onto the examination table, however the uni vet hospital immediately had him on the examination table within 1 minute of arriving. Yet they claim it was unsafe, Gary just didnt want a dog that had urinated himself on his clean bench... Also claiming that someone is aggressive because they argue about your overpriced charges up to twice the usual rate as shown on a receipt from a previous vet, does not deter from the fact your vet displayed unproffessional practice on our first visit focusing after 20 minutes on money without actually addressing the issue which was later addressed independently. I had to direct Gary to do his job requesting a neural exam and when i was convinced he couldnt i said we were leaving and not coming back. This is not aggressive, this is upfront and honest. You clearly cannot handle honest feedback as you like to lay false claims and excuse yourselves for poor practice, i have dropped the review from 3 to 1 star now. When i Review i make sure i take the time to talk about my experience with the pros and the cons. Pros: Gary did some assessments our boy Astro. He was ge erous enough not to charge the consult however as i told him i was not satisfied with the service. Cons: Astro had urinated involuntarily in the way to the vet aftwr he lost feeling in his rear legs and gradually his front. Gary was reluctant to do a proper exam i felt because of this, refusing to put him on his examination table after i requested this twice. I felt i had to direct Gary in a sense as i wasnt satisfied with his assessment. I asked hi. To perform a neural check to rule out brain related issues which showed no sign of brain damage. After being with Gary only 20 minutes he suggested we take Astro to Sash for $2000 overnight stay. I said i didnt feel comfortable as he referred to such an expensive route with minimal inspection. I requested some anti inflamitories and to leave the premise. We left disatisfied and with no prognosis. He did check gag reflex and said it was not likely ticks as he had a gag reflex. after then being told to take Astro somewhere else when the same company requested $1000 on a friday for an xray to check his spine and bone density. Unfortunately for Gary it was a tick. Which i found 15 minutes after the consult on Astro. As i detected it within 5 minutes of my search on astro's head, i fail to see how had Gary done his job properly this would have been missed. Gary failed to provide proper support. There were 2 nurses present at our visit. Not one of them offered to search astro for ticks. Once i found the tick after we had left the clinic. I removed it in a nearby pharmacy using a freeze off agent. I then located another parralysis tick on our 2nd Dog My best experience in comparison was Sydney Uni Vet hospital open till 11pm in camperdown. As soon as we git our dogs there they had 4-5 people at any one time assessing our dogs, the care was paramount and they administered TAS tick toxin antiserum within 15 minutes of our arrival. The cost while high at 1500 was worth it for both the dogs to be treated. This is a touchy one as ticks can be illusive Astros certainly was being located under his hair on his frint ear lobe. Although i feel with a hasty and proper thorough annalysis this could have been detected. Thanks Gary for being understanding to our frustrations. I hope we can both learn from this stressful experience together. Read Less
