Tom is arrogant rude. On his website he also masquerades as a cavoodle puppy business and I use the term business loosely. My fiancee and I had the distinct displeasure of dealing with this individual after discovering his facebook page was promoting puppies for sale. After enquiring via text we advised Tom this may not be a good fit for us, however Tom persuaded us that this was indeed a rare and amazing opportunity, so we called him. He said as demand was overwhelming and one lady had already paid a deposit earlier that day, if we wanted to secure one we should be quick. We then made the decision to move forward however a deposit of $500 would need to be made to secure this. Whilst we understand the need to secure via deposits the pup in question had not yet been born (other breeders do not operate this way). But again with the spike in demand we thought it was wise to do so. Tom said he'd send us a receipt and also an info sheets regarding our soon to be born pup (due in a weeks time). Two days had passed and no communication from Tom. We had to follow up with him before we received a receipt. No information sheets as promised. 10 days later - "no puppies yet, definitely coming soon" text received from Tom. At this stage we were feeling a bit uneasy as we had not received any official tax invoice from Tom nor any information sheets. 2 days after this we receive a text saying: "Sorry only 2 puppies, did you want to wait until September or get your money back?" We tried calling immediately but no answer. We then sent a text to clarify, as we were under the impression we were second in line as our position was secured via cash deposit. Tom then replied (still no call back after our request) : "There was a defect with one of the pups with our previous litter, so unfortunately I had to give that one away and you miss out, as you can understand I am quite upset." With no empathy or understanding of our situation, I accepted this as the result however had to give Tom some contructive critisism on how he manages his business. The advice was professional and centred on different business practices and better communication, so that future clients do not experience what we have. I explained that due to his miscalculation and mismanagement, my fiancee and I had declined two other breeders in which we had been part of long wait lists. This meant we were pushed to the back of some very, very long wait lists. Constructive in nature, my message was met with a shameful reply of : "I'm sorry you feel this way. There will always be people who miss out" I am sorry - but this is no way to deal with your prospective clients. I cannot speak to this persons competance as a vet, however his lack of professional courtesy and poor business management will ensure myself and anyone I know will stay clear of this man. Lastly to add - we also had a chase up for our refund.... NO sense of urgency whatsoever to return our money. Read Less
