The vet I went to was too eager to run every test/scan on my dog, as well as medicate him, even though she admitted that the medicine would do nothing for the underlying problem, merely prevent the symptoms (which were short-lived, uncommon and just not bad at all).
This medicine was also really expensive and would have to be administered twice daily. I felt pressured and when I consulted another vet in the Castle Hill area they said my dog's symptoms were not something to be concerned about.
As an edit because I can't reply to the comment below, it would be under my parents' names/my dog Teddy.

The over the counter staff was amazing however the person doing the vaccination was horrible. Our dog has always been afraid of going to the vet and because of that he was extremely snappy towards to the vet. The vet then tell us that he needs training and could be put down, and continuously showed bad attitude as she was speaking to us, yet our dog has always been lovely and sweet to people that he meets as shown by his reaction to people touching him minutes prior to entering the vet. This horrible statement towards us was extremely accusatory and unprofessional as a person in the field of veterinary that should know better...... won't be coming back again.

Having been going here as normal checks for 3 years overall the service is pretty good besides the price here is just a little bit more expensive than others.
However I have a feeling that it is too commercial here now when I came here last month for my dog's annual check. Probably (and I hope so) it is only because of the lady Ashley Kim. I reckon she is not very helpful so if possible avoid to choose her. Firstly, she didn't ask me but give my dog an extra vaccine for I think heart warm. (Maybe she saw my dog had this before but even through it needs to be asked before the vaccine is given. I actually now give him the tablet so no need for heart warm vaccine.) Secondly, I have a feeling that she is like a sales person. When she said my dog is a bit overweight, I asked for advise, what she suggests is a certain brand of dry food. When I asked the small scratch at the back of my dog's ear, what she suggest is a certain brand of cream. Ashley didn't give me any useful information but focuses selling. I hope it is only her but not the whole hospital. Will probably still come next year but if it is still the case next year I will change to another vet in the future.

Very unhappy with my experience here. My kelpie had a cut on his paw that needed sutures. I was hesitant to come here knowing that it would probably cost more than your average vet and I was right $62...
Very unhappy with my experience here. My kelpie had a cut on his paw that needed sutures. I was hesitant to come here knowing that it would probably cost more than your average vet and I was right $620 vs $385 I thought being a hospital they would have good service. But I was wrong. I was instructed that the sutures were to stay for 10 days. On day 11 the vet took them out. 24 hours later the wound split completely open again. I called the hospital and was told I would have to bring him in for assessment. I said would I be charged and was told yes and it may need resuturing and I would have to pay the whole amount again if that's the case.
Instead I used tissue glue on the wound and bandages- which is far less traumatic then being sedated and the wound is now closed.
I wish I never came here. I should have just gone the glue direction in the first place. But was told it would only heal with sutures and I was pushed into this decision. Probably to get the money. Well congratulations on making a quick buck for nothing.

Whilst the front of counter staff are pleasant, the vet we dealt with was less than pleasing. Not only did it sound like she didn't know what she was talking about (She said "ummm" more than anything else), but she did a series of tests on our puppy without speaking to us about them first and then expected us to pay for it. We didn't, and won't be going back.

Their "animal runs" for keeping your pet here for a few days is also appalling. My dogs came back with their beds damp with urine and they smelled like a sewer. Nice photo though. Way to suck em in.

The vet I went to was too eager to run every test/scan on my dog, as well as medicate him, even though she admitted that the medicine would do nothing for the underlying problem, merely prevent the symptoms (which were short-lived, uncommon and just not bad at all).
This medicine was also really expensive and would have to be administered twice daily. I felt pressured and when I consulted another vet in the Castle Hill area they said my dog's symptoms were not something to be concerned about.

Our dog has always been afraid of going to the vet and because of that he was extremely snappy towards to the vet. The vet then tell us that he needs training and could be put down, and continuously showed bad attitude as she was speaking to us, yet our dog has always been lovely and sweet to people that he meets as shown by his reaction to people touching him minutes prior to entering the vet. This horrible statement towards us was extremely accusatory and unprofessional as a person in the field of veterinary that should know better...... won't be coming back again.

Best pet care in Sydney. Waiting times at night were a bit long but compared to other centres at that time are easily the cheapest. Great vets who are not pushy and give you piece of mind.

However I have a feeling that it is too commercial here now when I came here last month for my dog's annual check. Probably (and I hope so) it is only because of the lady Ashley Kim. I reckon she is not very helpful so if possible avoid to choose her. Firstly, she didn't ask me but give my dog an extra vaccine for I think heart warm. (Maybe she saw my dog had this before but even through it needs to be asked before the vaccine is given. I actually now give him the tablet so no need for heart warm vaccine.) Secondly, I have a feeling that she is like a sales person. When she said my dog is a bit overweight, I asked for advise, what she suggests is a certain brand of dry food. When I asked the small scratch at the back of my dog's ear, what she suggest is a certain brand of cream. Ashley didn't give me any useful information but focuses selling. I hope it is only her but not the whole hospital. Will probably still come next year but if it is still the case next year I will change to another vet in the future.

Very unhappy with my experience here. My kelpie had a cut on his paw that needed sutures. I was hesitant to come here knowing that it would probably cost more than your average vet and I was right $620 vs $385 I thought being a hospital they would have good service. But I was wrong. I was instructed that the sutures were to stay for 10 days. On day 11 the vet took them out. 24 hours later the wound split completely open again. I called the hospital and was told I would have to bring him in for assessment. I said would I be charged and was told yes and it may need resuturing and I would have to pay the whole amount again if that's the case.
Instead I used tissue glue on the wound and bandages- which is far less traumatic then being sedated and the wound is now closed.
I wish I never came here. I should have just gone the glue direction in the first place. But was told it would only heal with sutures and I was pushed into this decision. Probably to get the money. Well congratulations on making a quick buck for nothing.

Excellent service by all the staff. Great hours if you have a problem after hours. Good ancillary services like X-ray and lab tests that would normally have to go elsewhere for. Highly recommended

Whilst the front of counter staff are pleasant, the vet we dealt with was less than pleasing. Not only did it sound like she didn't know what she was talking about (She said "ummm" more than anything else), but she did a series of tests on our puppy without speaking to us about them first and then expected us to pay for it. We didn't, and won't be going back.

Their "animal runs" for keeping your pet here for a few days is also appalling. My dogs came back with their beds damp with urine and they smelled like a sewer. Nice photo though. Way to suck em in.
