My experience of this hospital is both positive and negative. The vet was good to fit me in last minute and to explain everything to me, the nurses are lovely and caring. However, many owners view their pets like children and having medical notes withheld from pet owners is incredibly distressing. The lack of transparency is extremely disappointing and when you are not allowed to see what has been written about yourself and your beloved pet a sense of mistrust can be created. In the UK, the professional code for vets is to immediately send a copy of medical notes to pet owners once requested. In the US, there is an app that centralises pet medical records to give vets and pet owners immediate access to all records and clinical notes. So what is the secrecy around the notes here? I have paid alot of money for the opinion and advice of the vet so why can I not access a paper copy of this? Very distressing and dis-empowering for pet owners who want to be able to do their own research and make informed choices based on the info they have paid for. Being told this on the phone or in person is not enough and written notes for our own records is important. The VPB states that vets do not have to give owners copies however this is at your discretion. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic. Very friendly staff! Fees are quite reasonable. I decided upon taking my rabbits to this vet as it was relatively close to where I live and I had heard good things about it. My two rabbits went here for their calicivirus shots and a check up in Dec 2016. I was very impressed with the vet (and staff/vet nurses) who looked after them so well. Both rabbits were so calm! I decided to book my male rabbit in to be neutered the following month (January 2017). The operation was very straight forward and I was able to take him home that afternoon. Forget the rest go to the best.. have been going here for over 10 years .. Dominic and his team are there for you and your pet.. Used the pet boarding for 8 weeks when I went to England and my cat came home, looked like he did not miss us.. Take the time to get to know you are your pet and is very reasonably priced and explains what he is going to do and why.
