This is a great little clinic located in Bondi! We called to ask some questions about a little french bulldog puppy we were sitting at the time, he was having trouble swallowing his food. This is a wonderful veterinary practice. The care extended to the animals is first class and the affection shown is genuine. The vets are all marvellous, especially Dr Ray Chan who is so,so so kind to my three cats. One cat in particular is 17 years old,95% blind, epileptic, diabetic and arthritic. Ray has tended her for a few years now and I believe on at least two occasions he has saved her life. Nothing has been too much for him.His interest in the pets' welfare is to be admired. My family have used Bondi vet for over a decade and have been nothing more than astounded by their caring attitude and professional vetinary services. Tony is an outstounding vet and showed so much compassion when we had to put out golden retriever down six years ago, I remember him crying as the whole family said goodbye and our white fluff ball went to heaven. I recently adopted a little exotic shorthair kitty who, over only the short time (1 month) I had him, was clearly not well. It was an incredibly tough few weeks, taking my little Moch in and out of the vet, getting testing done and eventually having to send him over the rainbow bridge. Both Ray Chan and Matt Allen were absolutely incredible in their knowledge but most importantly, their kindness, compassion and understanding through this difficult time. It's just a pity I can't give a nil star rating, even that would be to much. The Botany Mascot Community Cat Carers is a Charitable NFP group that cares for, feeds and advocates for the cat colonies in our area. This evening we spent time trapping a sick juvenile female from a colony who was in need of immediate care. The usual vet's we use had closed but we were told by BJVH that they could see her. One of our members spent time driving her to the BJVH to deliver her to their care. On arriving at the vet's the vet nurse attempted to transfer her from the trap she was in to a cage. At the same time the vet on call wandered into the room where this was happening leaving the door to the room wide open. The terrified cat fled out of the trap, the the room and the veterinary hospital. Even though she was in their care when this happened the staff refused to take responsibility for their actions. Th staff first attempted to blame the member who'd dropped off the cat, stating , she told us she wanted the trap so we had to transfer the cat to another cage. Our member did not ask them to do this. Later in conversation with our member the Vet who'd left the door open indicated that "it will all work out" as the cat would magically cat return to the BJVH, or that they would trap her and recover her. When another member rang the BJVH to seek clarification as to what had happened, she was at first stonewalled, then when she asked to speak to the vet in charge, the vet refused to speak to her. If these people are indicative of the level of professionalism and morality of the BJVH then I personally would be fearful to take an animal there.Read Less

Both my great danes and my 2 kittens go to BJVH and they absolutely love their vet Dr Ray - he clearly adores animals and takes such good care of them. All 4 animals have been de-sexed at this clinic and they've all been very smooth and easy operations (even on the 2 great danes!). I also need to mention that the entire nursing team are so wonderful to every animal that comes through the door - they make a visit to the vet a happy experience! Read Less

We were visiting from the UK and our 10 year old daughter watches the 'Bondi Vet' show avidly at home so a visit here was a must for her. We were made most welcome by one of the staff (cant remember his name but he's an ex-pat) and although Dr Chris wasn't there, a cardboard cutout was produced for her to get her picture with him. Our dog Ronnie has been to Bondi vet hospital for 2 years now and we are so impressed with their service, all the doctors are extremely knowledgeable and so kind and empathic. The prices are really reasonable and wouldn't take Ron anywhere else. Dr Ray is the man!Read Less

I live in Canada but watch your show all the time and I think it's wonderful all the love and care you give the pets and animals, even strays which I doubt most vets couldn't be bothered with. I got a beautiful dog the day I was diagnosed with cancer and she was my rock. I'm cancer free and she is the most wonderful dog. She rings me hours of entertainment, love and loyalty. I've taken my cats to this clinic since I was in utero (born in 1980's) and I think my family has done so before that. Unfortunately two of our cats were hit by cars in the 1990's, the first a cat mum rescued before I was born, the other was after the first died when a friend moved overseas. They were so caring and went out of their way to do what was best for the boys whilst still sensitive to us humans, especially when I was young and went with mum to pick up our deceased cat. Since having my own cats, when based in Sydney they have all been cared for at this clinic, whether a few months old or 14yrs old. An added bonus is having a community/high school friend working there now, but that doesn't change that for over three decades we have taken our beloved cats here, and the care and treatment has been exceptional. Awesome customer service from the Vet nurses at Bondi Junction Vet.I took my little princess in for a check up and vaccination. She had been leaving some wee surprises in my laundry, but the Vet here was able to reassure my suspicions that she was just actually being a douche bag cat, and it probably wasnt medical. The vet nurses were friendly and caring.Parking is at a premium but f you sneak into the Library car park next door you get 1 1/2 free there, or try and nab one in the office works car park. Read Less
