I would like to acknowledge the incredible care and compassion our dog recieved from Doug Little at Bong Bong Vet , Bowral this week. Our old dog , Bonnie, had a seizure and then required euthanasia; a terrible decision , made easier by Doug Little's experience and compassion. I was so worried about how to manage those final moments with my beloved friend and, Doug and Sophie never left Bonnie's side for a moment, making the trauma so much more bearable. He spoke to me so cal...mly and factually about all my options and gave our old girl such respect and tenderness in her final hours. Another important factor was that the fees were so very reasonable compared to my previous experiences with vets. Very grateful for the care and understanding we have received in the last few very difficult days from Doug - from consultation calls in the middle of the night, to call outs. I never once felt like we were an inconvenience. We were handled with care and sensitivity at all times. It wasn't a great outcome in the end, but I always felt that our Dogs needs came first and there was always a genuine concern for his welfare. The most amazing vet you could ask for to care for ur furry family! Doug and his staff are always kind caring and empathetic. Doug always takes his time and never makes u feel rushed or like u are an inconvenience, even at 2am call outs lol. I have great confidence in Dougs experience and knowledge and genuine care for my animals. Last year he saved the life of my very ill dog Sophie (18). She was passing out, having spasms and on some occasions stopped breathing. A friend who had been recommending Doug for some time, said again I should change my vet and we took Sophie to him. On seeing her Doug handled Sophie with great care and gentleness - that meant a lot to me as she was so ill. He offered to take her home overnight to monitor and care for her. He diagnosed a heart condition and gave her medication which has allowed her to live comfortably ever since. I am extremely grateful to him and his wife Sarah (I believe she helped with Sophie that evening) for giving me longer time with my pet and for making her life so much better. She was a different dog the next day and has been ever since. I take both my dogs to Doug once a month for arthritis injections. I have had animals all my life and this is the first time my pets havent started shaking when approaching the vets door. In fact Lincoln barks to get in the door! This speaks volumes to me.Read Less
