The vet staff are friendly, however, I found the receptionist staff have poor customer service and don't take any responsibility for their mistakes. In both instances I went to get my two dogs desexed...
The vet staff are friendly, however, I found the receptionist staff have poor customer service and don't take any responsibility for their mistakes. In both instances I went to get my two dogs desexed and microchipped on the same day. Both cases, they've failed to input the details correctly into the system, which lead to being unable to pay the discounted council registration fee without having to go in. The staff that i spoke to did not take responsibility for the mistake and first accused me saying they were microchipped and desexed at different times. Next she stated i must have filled out the identification form incorrectly by not ticking the box saying they were desexed, which wasn't a question on the form itself. And now stating nothing can be done and I need to go into council myself. I spoke to another lady on a different occasion since the NSW pet registration website said to contact the vet to update details if they are incorrect. I was told she will get back to me to see if they'll able to fix it since it's passed 6 months period. Now another month has passed and I haven't heard a thing.

I know my pets are in excellent hands at this clinic. I was happy with their professionalism & service and everyone there has gone over & above for me. I was especially impressed with the vet and how skilled and caring he was. He gave me regular and reassuring updates on my pet's progress, he really listened to me and also gave up his personal time to help us out, which I can not thank him enough for. Other vets , another male vet (sorry can’t remember his name) have been excellent and professional too. Also all the vets nurses I dealt with (especially katrina and others who's names I can not remember) treated my dog as if he was their own, which was extremely comforting for me in a stressful time. They sent me pics of my little boy after his operation & encouraged me to visit him daily. They were never too busy to give me an update about how he was feeling over the phone. In summary - I have found all staff to be super caring towards my dog extremely lovely & professional towards me.

The sort of service you get here is exceptional and it has always been my go-to place when needing almost anything for my pets. They're knowledgeable, friendly, and their service prices have always been reasonable and better than most places.
However, there are a few things which somewhat ruin the experience on certain days. For example, some of the vets can be really talkative and don't offer you the chance to talk or ask any questions in return unless you constantly interrupt them. Once they examine the animal, then the non-stop talking happens and it becomes annoying.
Secondly, I've noticed some of the girls at the front desk gossiping about other customers when they leave and this is rude. Of course, it doesn't happen that often, but it needs to be addressed regardless.
Finally, one of the nurses who works here treats you differently depending on what kind of animal you bring in to the clinic. If you don't have a cat or a dog, she'll most likely never acknowledge you being there and will just walk past. Sometimes I've seen her walk across the room to get to whoever has the dog just to play with them, and then walk past you and ignore you.

I have taken my dogs to see Marylynn for years since I came to sydney.
Marylynn was at the austral vet but been at Canleyheights now for a few years.
She is always fair, caring straight up and great with pricing as I'm a career of children so I don't have money to throw around. She saved my dog from cancer and it only cost me $300!. Love her as a vet with heaps of experience! Recommend them greatly!

The vet staff are friendly, however, I found the receptionist staff have poor customer service and don't take any responsibility for their mistakes. I know my pets are in excellent hands at this clinic. I was happy with their professionalism & service and everyone there has gone over & above for me. I was especially impressed with the vet and how skilled and caring he was.
