This was where we had taken all of our fur children.. I took one of my girls here toward the end of last year, as she was getting a blood colored discharge in her eyes and I was getting more and more concerned.. I was pretty much told it was just an allergic reaction and there was nothing wrong with her, but if it continued they would do blood tests.. I felt dumb about worrying over my cat when apparently nothing was wrong.. A couple of months ago, one of her eyes went funny and I rushed her to a different vet, where they then referred us to the Small Animals Specialist Hospital in Sydney.. Now, my baby girl is only 2 and a half, so a big concern is the issues she's having with her eyes, she should not be having.. Not only did she have conjunctivitis (which the cream they gave me only eased whilst it was being used), she also has glaucoma and cataracts in both eyes.. On Friday I took her for her check up with the specialist, on Wednesday I am taking her in for surgery for her right eye to be removed, as it is larger than the left, and it has a pressure of 50+ (normal is 10-20).. Now, this outcome was inevitable, so I will not hold this vet responsible for this needing to happen, however, I will hold them responsible for not taking me serious and my baby girl in turn, suffering for much longer than she should have, this could have been rectified and her surgery done nearly a year ago, if I had have been taken serious.
