Joe and Helen and Jess treat your furbabies as if they are their own. The attention to finding the correct diagnosis is at all times thorough. I would consider Joe to be an expert on fixing the cruciate ligaments, he did 2 for our little boy and he could continue his happy life at the beach. He kept us aware of the due dates of inoculations and the boys were always happy to see him and of course it took them awhile to realise tank would not roll over them. We are very sad to lose his as our vet as we have moved and very often you don’t appreciate things enough until you lose them. Joe was our vet for 10 years and if you live in the diamond beach area you are very lucky to have him. Sometimes his manner seems gruff to humans but to our pets he is wonderful. He is a great diagnostician and you cant get better than that. Read Less

I rarely write reviews because I don€t believe that we interact with others in the exact same way so our experiences will be different. I have known Joe and the locum, Breck for years now and my experience is that they are caring, amicable and professional and make the health and well-being of their animal customers their main priority.
As for the human customers, who sometimes arrive upset or impatient for help for their pet, would you seriously prefer someone with less veterinarian skills and better social skills? Read Less

In our experience, Joe, the owner is very personable and professional. We called the clinic about a concern we had about a skin lesion our dog on a Saturday and left voice message as the clinic was closed. Joe called back promptly, was very willing to discuss our concerns, and provided substantial advice over the phone without charge. As our dog hadn't improved by Monday, my wife took her in to the clinic. Joe completed a very thorough examination and made an informed diagnosis. Jess, the nurse, was also very good and is clearly an animal lover... The skin lesion (the actual cause was a parasite picked up from beach sand ) is clearing rapidly. We are very impressed with the clinic and will certainly return as/when needed. (A PS: I think the other, less positive, reviews refer to a locum/casual vet, not the owner) Read Less

Yes the owner is rude in a doc Martin kind of way (maybe on the spectrum?) but seems to know his stuff, generally cares for animals and will take his time to get it right.

Extremely rude owner, wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, even if it's conveniently down the road.
