I brought my puggle (pug x beagle) and the lady in there told me my dog is a jack russell (????) when it clearly states it’s a beagle on the papers but anyway she also told me he needed to get his nostrils cut to make them bigger so he can breathe better. I have not decided to get his nostrils cut because till this day he is fine and had no issues with his breathing. I just find this vet to not know anything but act like they do. Read Less

We chose Five Dock Veterinary Hospital when our 12 1/2 year old Vizla became ill very quickly. We were told that tests were needed and that she would stay overnight to test blood. We were quoted $800 for the stay and tests. Came to collect her two days later only to be told that the tests were inconclusive and that I had to take her straight away to an animal hospital in Ryde for more tests. Oh, and by the way, the bill was $1300! I was told that the results and X-rays had been sent already and they were expecting us. 2 hours later, the tests still hadn't come. I was sent home. All of the tests results came to nothing! My own vet - Village Vet Balmain took one look at her and operated immediately on the two gangrenous growths that were poisoning her whole body. Three days later, she is a changed dog. She is recovering and slowly getting back to health. Her survival had NOTHING to do with any treatment / advice from Five Dock Vet Hospital and would not recommend them.Read Less
