The locum vet was kind and gentle but prescribed an anti-inflammatory for my Cat which has cautions and contraindications such as vomiting, constipation, can cause acute renal failure, dehydration, no appetite, no thirst. Without informing me about the side effects, this is what I gave my 15 year old Cat 2 doses of. She became dehydrated, constipated, she didn't look well at all, she refused food and water and became very quiet. This, as well as her injury, lameness from a fall. She recovered in 24 hours due to me stopping the meds and that apart from her injury, she is in very good health. This was a very financially expensive exercise that I fully regret. The staff didn't know how much experience the locum had, but I think not enough. Where are the experienced skilled vets? Why don't we have any up here? I paid out a lot of money for that. I'm grateful that my Cat is alive! They are not very supportive and I won't go there again.Read Less
