Completely heartbroken. Hugo was my cat of 18 years, registered in my name. During lockdown my parents were caring for him and I could not come to collect him. They were struggling to medicate him for high blood pressure and took him to the vet. It was decided to euthanise him. No one from the clinic called to check if this was even something I would agree to. I had spoke to the vet two days prior. His blood tests showed no significant health issues. Just high blood pressure. It was agreed the best course of treatment was medication. An otherwise healthy animal put down without consent from the owner. Read Less
