This is by far the most friendly and helpful vets in the country. They care for you and your animal and they are fast and believe in getting your animal home asap. I would recommend anyone take there animals there for the best care in the country. Thanks to all the ssff and the vet who stitched up my dog. I thought it would cost me thousands of dollars. Keen St Vets have always looked after our animals wonderfully and nothing is ever a problem. We have been taking our dog and other dogs here for years. We first came across Keen St Vet when we moved back to Lismore just under a year ago. Our cat had just been desexed in our previous town and due to the stress of moving from almost 700km away, including an overnight stay, she had pulled out all of her external stitches...John Campbell fixed her up the day after we arrived back in town (and did a brilliant job!) and the whole team has been excellent with all other ailments and treatments we've had to attend to for our fur child...highly recommend them for their professionalism and care. Our cat was severely constipated and in a lot of pain. Bec went out of her way to help him and us and did so in such a gentle, respectful and caring manner. I was so happy to find a genuinely loving vet. It was an expensive procedure due to the involved surgery and time needed to get him well again but Bec reduced the price as much as she could which we really appreciated. Our visit here was nothing but a wonderful experience, a moggy that we had rescued in WA & bought with us to NSW picked up a couple of ticks which Dr Daryl promptly picked up and managed to save our beautiful boy. He came home happy & well, sporting a new haircut (which we had agreed on) with the latest razor cut up the back - very nice. My eclectus parrot ate a berry that was described as very poisonous on the internet, so we rushed her to the closest vet. They don't get many parrots there, but the vet Bec was incredible with her. She was able to hold and check my eccy in a way that was safe for both of them, and gave us great advice and information. I was impressed! :)Read Less

Keen St changed my dog's life; the vets who treated him are not only good vets in a medical sense, they were sensitive to him as an individual with individual needs. He loved going to the vet! At all times they communicated with me with respect and care; I was never put in the position of feeling like an owner who would not understand the details or who was 'over-invested' in her four-legged friend. The prices were extremely reasonable. Finally, Keen St undertakes a considerable amount of unpaid work for injured local wildlife (including, but not exclusively, koalas).
