Absolutely horrified and disgusted with the attitude and greed of Dora ? . She gave away a therapy bird belonging to a disabled child after seven days of having him. After repeated phone calls, photos then having to get the police involved she finally surrendered our bird ! BUT .... Lied about how long he was therefore charging me $380 for 19 days. I have reported her to the Australian veterinarian Association. I think it’s absolutely disgusting that the staff went along with her lies and extortion, Allowing her to take advantage of people’s emotions and love for their animals. I highly DO NOT recommend Mascot Vet!! All they care about is scamming you for more money. The nurses are nice the actual Veterinarian DORA is terrible. I had to put my cat down and she couldn't even show her face to me after we were charged over $600 for a blood test. She then has the hide to say to me you need to pay an extra $200 to put your cat down and when I said no as I had already paid $1000 to her and another vet she then tells me actually Ill stop the blood test and we will take your money from that... why wouldn't you say that in the first place? Instead of telling me I must pay $200 extra... its a joke! And then I come in to say my goodbyes to my cat and I get sent away because shes to busy and told me to come back in an hour... I come back an hour later and she doesn't come out of the room to face me she get a nurse to bring me my cat so I could say good bye while she sat in another room... she doesn't even have the decency to talk to me, show her face to me, apologize to me.. nothing...!! I call that PATHETIC! Vets are meant to love animals and want to help them... Yeah right all they want is your MONEY!!!!!! I could not believe how poorly I was treated and I will never step foot in that poor excuse of a place again! Anyone that takes your animals there be aware and make sure you ask them all the questions before paying them, they most likely sweet talk until they have finished with your animal and then bill you for some ridiculous amount... I now have a new vet I go to and they have been nothing but amazing to me!! Mascot Vet your a joke! Read Less

I normally go to randwick, but this time this vet seems to be the only vet in the area with Rabbit vaccine for the upcoming RHDV that will kill domesticated rabbits. The vet knew how to handle rabbits as she had one in the past. Despite my two rabbits being super nervous, she was able to vaccinate them without them kicking. It was very professional. The rabbits prefer to be grounded and they were on the ground vaccinated as the vet massaged their heads to calm them down. I've been reading some of the reviews here and I certainly did not experience bad service. There were no cross selling of insurance or anything like that. In fact I even asked for tips on how to clip their nails, and they happily showed me how to do it. They had a mini-lop up for adoption too, a male grey harlequin rabbit, just like my doe, and he was very curious with my two rabbits. I'm very impressed at how efficient the process took. I even received certificates of vaccination from them. Overall I was done in 30mins with two vaccinated rabbits. I stayed longer just to play with their cats. I'll be using their service from now on. The best vet at the most reasonable prices. After being told that our dog had behavioural issues and suggested an expensive behaviouralist and being stuffed with antibiotics on three back to back occasions without a proper diagnosis at erskineville vet, we got fed up and looked for another vet. Mascot Vet charged substantially less with no cost for follow ups, or telephone conversations with a veterinarian. They correctly diagnosed him on the first visit. One week later and our beautiful Collie pup was finally himself. And along the way we're given techniques on how to curb our dogs behavioural issues with huge success. This vet also cares for your dog and let's them roam around when they have to stay the day, rather than stuffed in a cage and sedated like erskineville vet.
