Our purpose built clinic has been established for almost a decade and is supported by a group of excellent vets and nurses. We are fully equipped with the latest facilities to cater for surgeries, health checks as well as routine vaccinations. We also offer short term boarding for your pets while you enjoy your holiday!

Very nice staff, and very helpful. I am looking after my friends beagles x and they escaped few times. I received call they have been hand in MVH. The staff handled these naughty girls back to me and didn't make me feel bad about it. They gave me few tips about what to do for next time and all for free.
They like animals and people.

Took my puppy for a first time check and we'll, let's just say I won't be going back. While the advice the vet gave me was contrary to what my breeder told me, I accepted the vets advice and well, better to be safe than sorry. What I didnt like was the wait time, no appointments taken so you rock up and wait your turn. We were told 15mins and ended up waiting 45. When were seen, the vet was too busy thinking of the next waiting customer and did nothing to give me confidence she had actually checked him over. Once she finished giving him the injections my breeder had told me were unnecessary at his age, my puppy was in massive shock/pain as the method for delivery was forceful and rushed. We then asked the receptionist if she could see him again after being ushered out so she could attend to her next customer. We waited another 20mins. After we asked her to check him over, she said he needed a few things done - ears and claws - this she said only after we insisted she check! Disappointed with her approach, concentration and thoroughness. Also the vet had just graduated so I don't believe she has the necessary experience to be working on her own in such a busy clinic. We will not be returning.

These guys are always fantastic. Took in the cat for a checkup only to find that she's due for vaccinations. Paid for the vaccination and got a checkup thrown in.

Shocking experience. I spent $400 and still didn't tell me what was wrong with my dog. They quoted $1980 without knowing what was wrong .He went to RSPCA Vet they diagnosed correctly and charged half...
Shocking experience. I spent $400 and still didn't tell me what was wrong with my dog. They quoted $1980 without knowing what was wrong .He went to RSPCA Vet they diagnosed correctly and charged half the amount.I will never use Matraville vet again and advise others the same..They are a money hungry vet.Its worth the drive go to RSPCA Vet where they really care for the pets.They also overcharge on medications same 10mls medicine was $60 at Matraville and $30 at RSPCA.If you love your animal be careful of where you take it.I dont recommend Matraville Vet.

Took my dog there for a limp, they tested for unessesary things, told me the wrong diagnosis for my dog and wanted to operate on him. The medication that they "tested" for started to make my dog vomit...
Took my dog there for a limp, they tested for unessesary things, told me the wrong diagnosis for my dog and wanted to operate on him. The medication that they "tested" for started to make my dog vomit blood, and when I took him to another vet they told me that the matraville vet diagnosed him wrong and that he didn't need operation, and if we went through with the operation, his limp would get even worse and would have damaged his leg more.

Took our cat there with a slight limp it had had for months without any major issues. Cat comes back unable to walk and then the cat has to have a major operation cutting the top of his femur off. Whe...
Took our cat there with a slight limp it had had for months without any major issues. Cat comes back unable to walk and then the cat has to have a major operation cutting the top of his femur off. When asked about what had happened they denied everything until I got it out of one of the staff they had put him to sleep and splayed his legs. The vet who did it told us "when they're under it doesn't matter which way we bend their legs". Other vets we consulted after told us they never sedate them in those circumstances. Very UNprofessional and tried to pass the buck onto us at every opportunity. They then did the operation that cost over $1200 even with their paltry discount of a hundred or two. Find another vet is my advice if you care about your pet

took my dog to check for shaking and breathing problems. spent 400 on things that weren't needed. didn't check my dog properly guessed a problem without checking if it was that. And next day my dog is...
took my dog to check for shaking and breathing problems. spent 400 on things that weren't needed. didn't check my dog properly guessed a problem without checking if it was that. And next day my dog is paralyzed. went to another vet and they knew what the prob was straight away and said if we found it earlier she would have more of a chance.

The vets here are absolutely lovely, and were fantastic with both our dogs. You don't need to make a booking, however it's worthwhile making a quick call before heading down in case it's really busy.

Very nice staff, and very helpful. I am looking after my friends beagles x and they escaped few times. I received call they have been hand in MVH. The staff handled these naughty girls back to me and didn't make me feel bad about it. They gave me few tips about what to do for next time and all for free.
