Took my 14 year old dog there on Monday the 1st June as she wasn’t eating and was wheezing over the weekend. They took bloods and then told me that she had high elevated levels of calcium and a high c...
Took my 14 year old dog there on Monday the 1st June as she wasn’t eating and was wheezing over the weekend. They took bloods and then told me that she had high elevated levels of calcium and a high count in her liver - either meant cancer or cushings disease. Was told I had to bring her back on Tuesday for a liver ultrasound. They said all was normal!! Then they convinced me to put Bravecto spot on tick liquid on her back as they said there are ticks in the area. I told them she had never had it before and was it safe and maybe we should wait till she was better and they assured me it was ok. Later that night she started coughing and was really off and lethargic with laboured breathing. Took her back in on Thursday and they took more blood from her jugular to send off to QLD as the vet then announced that did I know that she had a heart murmur??? Why didn’t she discover this murmur on Monday when she listened for the wheezing!! Was told the results would only be back either on Sat or Tuesday as it’s public holiday tomorrow. I asked them to give her medication as she was struggling and they said no. Long story short, she collapsed on Sat night (and I called the vet in Medowie on Sat for the results and told them she was battling to breathe and the receptionist said Aaaw) and we rushed her to the emergency vet in Newcastle and had to put her to sleep / heart failure. Medowie vet $1000 later and another $500 to put her to sleep. I called the vet on Tuesday and she said the bloods confirmed Heart Disease, too late my dog was dead. She then told me that the disease overtook the diagnosis - what??? If they had diagnosed from the onset my dog would not have had to suffer like she did. They are disgusting and feral. Money hungry grubs and no duty of care.

Sadly our little dog had nearly reached end of life the first time we used this clinic. But they were brilliant, friendly and went out of their way to provide excellent service. Some places just seem to want to see you for the money, and try and get you to prolong your pets life at huge cost to you and pain for your pet. Not so here, they put your pet first and money second. Professional, personable and reasonably priced. Highly recommend them.

Having been a customer of Noah’s Ark since the day their doors opened, I can honestly say that you won’t get better vet care for your pets. I have utilized the services available for my dogs, cats and horses, and the care they receive is always professional and very caring. It is a real benefit to me that there is also alternative therapies available for my pets in chiro, acupuncture and massage which for one dog has made life changing differences. 5 stars from me.

We have been clients of Noah's Ark Vets for 15 years. During that time, we have found Ilona, Donald and their staff to be courteous, professional and extremely understanding. Their compassion and empathy during times of our dog's illnesses and eventual deaths, has been nothing but tremendous (and appreciated more than I could ever communicate here). They treat my husband, myself and our motley fur-kids like family. I cannot rate them highly enough, and would recommend them to anyone. I would give them 10 stars if I could!

I am always confident that my fur child will be well taken care of when he’s silly and hurts himself. Sadly our little dog had nearly reached end of life the first time we used this clinic. But they were brilliant, friendly and went out of their way to provide excellent service. Some places just seem to want to see you for the money, and try and get you to prolong your pets life at huge cost to you and pain for your pet. Not so here, they put your pet first and money second. Professional, personable and reasonably priced. Highly recommend them.
