Recently took my dog to this vet for an ear and eye infection. Worst vet clinic I have ever been to. First they shove you into a consult room and close the door while they have a big chat and laughter in the waiting room. The vet then comes into the consult room and doesn’t acknowledge your animal. Once the con cult was done, where the vet did nothing but look down her ears, I was told that I had to clean her ears myself and that the vet nurse would come and tell me how. The young inexperience vet nurse who didn’t want to break a nail entered and tried to explain very poorly how I clean my dogs ears at home. At the end of the consult I went to reception and explained I had pet insurance and wanted them to claim the gap the inexperienced vet nurse ignore me and tried to get me to pay the full amount, even saying ‘you can claim in itself’. Disgusting attitudes from all vets and vet nurses at that clinic and very over priced. Shocking experience. Took my dog in on the weekend. She had try to eat a fish hook and it got hooked in side of he mouth. Vet was told me it was going to be $750, just to sedate her and take out the fish hook. I said that was a lot of money. He told me I had to pay up front before they did anything. When I mentioned, I might not have the money want can I do. He said he couldn't help me I would have to go somewhere else. So in a panic I said do then. Then I got home and rang a few vets, they said no that is much money just to sedate a small dog. So I rang up straight away and said have you started they said no. I said I will come in and pick my dog up and take her somewhere else (she wasn't in pain). Vet got on the phone and said if I took the dog, don't ever come back again. He was so rude. Just worried about the dollars not the dog. Took to Base Hill Vets, cost me only $390 and she was good as new. She was only in for a few hours and they gave me the break down costs and everything. If you are going to lie and deliberately deceive people to retain business, you’re not going to go far. I’ve been going there for 6 or 7 years for vaccinations but this time I was told the vet I wanted to perform surgery on my dog was not working the day I made my appointment. I learned the day I brought him in that she went back to Melbourne 6 months ago. Admittedly, had I known she wasn’t there, I would have gone elsewhere. I said when I made the appointment that I had alr...eady been told what the surgery would cost. Without confirming anything I was repeatedly told, “everything will be just fine”, only to later have to stand and fight with both these guys over how much the procedure cost whenthey had a clear breakdown of the cost in their system. I am thankful that the procedure was done and my dog is recovering well. But I would not go back there again. Trust is so easy to break but so incredibly difficult to restore. See More Read Less

I have never had an issue with the vet’s at moorebank. They have always been very accomodating to our animal’s needs with very friendly service. However I have had multiple rude encounters from one of the veterinarian nurse’s. we faced a very difficult situation recently and I was spoken to so rudely over the phone consideration was not taken as to my feelings and emotions. She spoke over the top of me and would not listen to my story. She jumped to conclusions and did not speak to me about all of the options available to me. Unfortunately this is not the first time, and I fear that this will not be the last. I will now be taking my animals elsewhere. Read Less

The vet Yoshi provided good service, staying back over an hour to do emergency surgery on our dog, however, the receptionist Lisa was extremely rude to us over the phone for our followup session. We were told that we could just come in 5 days after without an appointment for a checkup by Yoshi, but when we called and Lisa answered she was incredibly hostile and unaccommodating - telling us that we needed to have an appointment and called Yoshi silly for telling us otherwise. I would have definitely come back to this vet, however, Lisa has just ruined our experience completely. Read Less

I took my two cats to have their annual injections and the vet told me they needed to have dental, something I had never had done before. As no one had ever discussed this sort of thing with me before I relented and paid $250 for each cat plus $48 for extractions. My young cat came through it okay but my 13 year old girl is not the same cat. I have taken her back twice and each time they said she should be okay. It's been five weeks and she has not recovered. I told the v...et that she cannot clean herself and he said that's okay, well it ain't okay. Cats pride themselves on cleanliness. She drools all the time and she tries to clean herself and licks fresh air. I have had to bath her to clean her and she hates it. She looks like a wet rat. I don't fell confident enough to take her back because I don't think the vet really cares. I wish I had never had her teeth done. She suffers every day. See More Read Less

I had recently taken my dog here. She had a bite wound to the neck from another dog attacking her. My dog was seen by Dr. Maz ( I think that was his name). Dr Maz was unsympathetic toward the whole situation and suggested for the dog to have a drainage of the wound under sedation which would cost approx $680. I informed him that i may have to check if I was able to financially afford it and call my husband. i also felt that I wanted a second opinion as i was a bit hesitant to put my dog through all that if it wasn't required. His mannerisms when consulting with me was rude and careless. I left the place disappointed. I feel like he has lost his love for this job. Either that or he was just having a bad day. Who knows. All I know is I will never be bringing any of my pets there in the future. I went to Rspca and got my dogs wound checked up. They cleaned it and gave me some antibiotics. The wound in two days has healed well and is alot less swollen and sore. I explained what Dr.Maz had suggested to do and they said that it was completely not necessary. So my advice is to always go for a second opinion if you gut tells you that the first one is not a good one. I would avoid this place ! Don't waste your money and time. Read Less

The receptionist orginally booked my dog in for the wrong reason and i then had to explain the reason again to why i was there. The consultation room was filthy. I had to ask twice for the table and scales to be dissinfected as the vet was wiping dog hair off them with his hand. I also noticed a dirty towel hanging on the rack. I explained why i was there and the vet said that he cant find any 'flea dirt' which to i replied 'because my dogs dont have fleas'. He did finally do what i asked and left the iodine mess on the floor - yuk! In the end i wasted an hour and paid for no results. What the vet had rcommended was to the take the label of a product as the manerfuctory didnt know of any sideffects. Reguardless to say i wont be going back nor will i recommend this vet to anyone.

Dispite the two recent Google reviews (both shocking) I thought I would try myself to make an appointment before work. Well, reviews confirmed the receptionist was rather rude and spoke abruptly down my throat "we don't open till 9 im down at the kennels, thanks bye" giving my absolutely no chance to say- I just wanted to book quicky before work for as soon as possible so my partner could bring our dog into the vet. I was Trying to say "i Googled and it said you open at 830" but the lady cut me off and hung up. Great way to treat customers. Maybe you could change your advertising on Google to the correct time.

My dog has been having trouble breathing and hasn't been acting like it's normal self. The doctor diagnosed my dog without evening doing any tests or x-rays. How can you diagnose a dog with a critical illness just by looking at him?!
