Not sure I made a good choice!!! My cat is still barely eating (over 4 weeks) having trouble swallowing. Have seen several vets since first visit he's had 2 teeth removed but hasn't fixed the problem. Last one told me he just spoilt ☹️ He normally eats 60 GM of meat and chicken a day + dry food and I am now hand feeding him a table spoon of food put through the blender (spoilt???) Read Less

Sign In JOIN TOPVET Disappointing to say the least. My consultation at Morisset Vet by the Vet showed lack of concern to my puppy's skin irritation/outbreak. In the consult I needed to prompt the Vet multiple times to 'look again please' & asked 'how can you not see that'. I walked out paying a $75 consultation fee for nothing, I received common knowledge from the Vet, to shampoo my puppy with an over the counter medicated shampoo (even I knew to do this). I explained several times to the Vet why I was at the appointment, the Vet commented and said she could not see a problem but then said 'to treat the lesions...." I replied, to treat the lesions? and she replied, "No there are no lesions", I was confused. I drove home with my puppy and thinking the appointment was useless. I phoned Morisset Vet the next day as I was upset and it was clearly on my mind regarding the lack of service from a Professional Vet. I spoke to a Vet Nurse who answered the phone, (she listened to my call and was patient and concerned about my experience), she said the Practice Manager was not in until 11am and I will receive a call back. I didn't receive a call back. My adult daughter phoned to follow up, the Vet Nurse answered and apologised and said she was really busy but she spoke to the Practice Manager and offered another appointment with a different Vet, but at another cost of $75, so $150 in total when I should of received a professional service the first visit. I went to my local pet shop with my puppy and received informative advice re: it may be your grass, his diet, they advised me to only shampoo 2 times a week as 3 times a week will destroy the natural oils in his coat/skin. They questioned whether the Vet took a swab of his skin? I replied "no, she didn't even ask/offer that?". I received more information and advice from the staff at my local pet shop then the Vet at Morisset Vet. Read Less

I can't rate this vet high enough! I brought in my dog who had collapsed, no notice was given as it was first thing in the morning just before they opened. They promptly took her in and explained to me what they thought would be the best diagnostic and treatment options based on their observations. They were upfront with all details and I was very reassured right from the start. Quite frankly, I didn't think my dog was going to survive. She wasn't in good shape. They kept her in for 3 days and kept me updated on her treatment and progress. We picked her up and I was charged on the low end of what I had been quoted, which was VERY reasonable. Although they could not supply an exact diagnosis they were very honest about everything. The following day she regressed and I had to bring her in again. They didn't charge a consult and organised a specialist ultrasound with another vet out of town. The other vet gave me the run around (that's another story). We ended up taking her back to Morisset Vet and they kept her in overnight. Their treatment worked amazingly well and once again I was charged a reasonable amount. Following diagnostic imaging I now have my dog at home with some medication. I don't know what the future will bring for my dog. But I feel confident that the staff at Morisset Vet Hospital will take good care of my pet and show consideration to the owner as well! Thank you. Read Less

I am very disappointed and unhappy with the Morisset Vet Clinic • I have taken both my dogs to them for over the past four years, therefore they are supposed to be familiar with my animals • Last year both of them had a dental check and work done, one had 3 teeth removed and the other 12 as well as a teeth clean. • Noticing dental problems 10 month later with the 14 year old dog that had previously had the 12 teeth removed, weighing in at 4.8kgs I booked her in. • I was advised it would cost me between $220 to $560.00 • 10 months ago it cost $563.93 but this included blood work as well as tablets for pain • This time it cost $567.60 for 1 tooth removed and the cleaning of her few remaining teeth, no blood work and no pain tablets. • They tried to justify the cost with smoke and mirrors saying that it costs the same to have one tooth removed or 12. However my other dog weighing 7.9kgs who had a clean, 3 teeth removed last year including blood work cost $414.13. I wish there was a veterinarian Ombudsman – modern day vets just want $$$$$$$$$$ Read Less

If I could rate them higher I would. Simon was just amazing. I'm ex st John ambulance volunteer, trained in competition level advanced first aid, and patient care. I have 3 dogs, and the bitches, dam and pup, 6 and 11, had a minor scrap over a new persons attention. Everything seemed fine, minor cut on the dam's leg solved with a little pressure, but when she licked the blood off it got redder. She was bleeding steadily and I couldn't find or stop it. It was our first trip here as we've moved last year, and Simon was awesome, very professional, calm and kind with Hallie, quickly had her checked out, and though it was hard to find he did so quickly and had her into surgery, under and back home in a few hours, charging what I know is the 'right' price, not inflated as elsewhere. Simon, I really cannot thank and recommend you and your team enough.Read Less

my experiences over thirty years. dealing with the services of Morisset vet clinic, have at all times been most supportive.as all animal lovers will tell you our pets are like family. i have had many animals cared for by this practice .with life saving loving care including visits to my home. I notice a previous review of a bad experience .I can say the elderly vet I thinks she speaks of and wasn't so old 30 yrs ago. can be abrupt ,but no more so than other fine surgeons in human practice. i know over recent times he had a wish to retire but delayed doing so until he could find someone with the passion of animal care and the belief of providing care at reasonable price . i would mention consulting periods are set because at other time they are performing life changing care for previously booked surgery. I can only think the bad experience reported by a previous review was due to been extremely busy or may have had a loss. just as we suffer when we loose a love one the vets also suffer such is their love of animals. i regularly continue to use there service and note many new and loving staff there to assist. i can only speak of my experience and hope this helps others. warwick beeby Read Less

The main vet, an elder male, is extremely rude. It was 9am and I phoned and was speaking to the receptionist as my dog needed to see a vet urgently. And not any vet. This man in particular is a great example as to why I wanted to know what the vet was like before I took my beloved dog in for urgent treatment. He ripped the phone out of the receptionists hands, and in a grumpy voice said I am here until 10am. Well, there you go, why would anyone want to take there dog to a clinic where he needed to be seen to urgently if the vet was only there until 10am. I asked what do you mean and he said it is NONE OF MY BUSINESS... So it is none of your business that the pet you take there to see the vet will actually be looked after, have the test runs etc... because the vet wont even be there to do them, and rather than say another vet looks after your animal or what will happen to your animal without him being there - he just very clearly informed me "its none of your business'! 3 times!!! He recommended I take my dog to Cooranbong vet, where the lady vet older lady, was also very busy, but very helpful, very informative and reasonably NICE!!! So, don't go here, I think it might be slightly more expensive to go to Cooranbong as I tried to investigate pricing, but, over all at least you know the vet is there to work with your pet :) Read Less

The "older Male" Vet has been our Vet for over 20 years and is so kind and knowledgeable. He has saved several of our animals lives through intricate surgery and we will always be grateful for the way he has gone beyond what is expected. He is now in practice with two competent women Vets and they are all okay. Their prices have risen but are still competitive with other local Vets.Read Less
