I, unfortunately had one of the most traumatic experiences of my life at this vet today and would not recommend my one to go there - there was zero compassion or empathy and completely unprofessional behaviour by the vet Phillippa. My miniature Doxie has lost the use of her back legs and was unable to walk without falling - she was in such a bad way and after consultation with a different vet decided to have her put down - I was beside myself, we love this dog very much - the vet was not happy with the quote I was given by her own director and staff the day before and proceeded to haggle with me over price - she then put a catheter in my girl and came back still annoyed and then decided she wasn’t going to do it and went back and took the catheter out - thank God for st Ives vets on Mona Vale Road - as I had to take her home again where she was deteriorating rapidly - Michael at st Ives vet took one look at her and said she is in a lot of pain and we wouldn’t be able to fix her - even if we did spinal surgery she would not be a good candidate - my poor Gracie had to suffer in pain all day and the trauma of my whole family having said our goodbyes only to get there and be ruthlessly interrogated over a price that she confirmed had been given to me was on another level - if you are after any compassion, empathy or professionalism for you and your beloved pet do not go here Read Less

Do not go to this vet, especially if you are in a situation of emergency. I took my cat there after suspecting he had been hit by a car, after the vet 'diagnosed' him she cold heartedly focused on the cost of his 'bladder infection' saying it would cost around $2k. After being uncomfortable at how rude she was about the whole matter I told her I wanted to get a second opinion, she scared me into trying to let her operate saying it was a 'life or death matter', and before allowing me to leave charged me $80 for the consult which lasted less than 5 minutes. I am so glad I did get a second opinion, he had been hit by a car as suspected. This is not the first time this veterinary hospital has let me down. The only reason I went there is because it was closer. They over charge and churn out the animals without actually caring. I highly encourage you to go to the amazing people at St Ives vetenary hospital on Mona Vale rd. They are so kind, and this is the second time they have come to our cats rescue. Read Less
