If your considering taking your animal here I would be careful. I took my dog here in January with some dental concerns and extremely bad breath. I was told it was nothing to worry about and the smell was completely normal. 8 months later I took my dog to another vet and she had to have major dental work completed. Personally myself and the recent vet feel that my dogs dental problem could have been avoided if proper care was given back in January. I guess it's a he said she said situation and I'm aware dental issues in dogs can escalate rapidly but considering my dog had the same symptoms this time and in January makes me feel she was not well looked after by this practice. I also feel a duty of care was non existant as the vet never gave any advice on foods to help with teeth or what to look out for in the future. No education or helpful hints. Consider another vet if you care for your animals. My dog is now missing 9 teeth. Read Less

Great bunch of staff, have been taking our mini dachshunds here for a number of years now and have never had any issues. The clinic offers X-Ray, Ultrasound and surgery services with the ability to conduct in house testing if required. Read Less

Felt ripped off that we had to pay 100.00 more than the quoted price to us. Was told a price was but then told when we had the dog ready for the operation in the room that if we chose there would be added extras like pain relief and liquids. Enquired as to why when the quote was given we were not told about the possibility of extras which would have been ethical. They didn't seem to care. They may have lost a customer thru this and we have three dogs due to the fact that I thought they were very dishonest. Read Less

Fantastic vet hospita My elderly dog PuP was on deaths door was looked after for about a month at Colton veterinary hospital Vet Doctor Deanna and Doctor Chris and all the support team nursed PuP until I could take him home again.....nursed me too during this difficult time...lol...I was welcome to visit PuP anytime. 12 months on Mr.PuP going strong.. With 2 dogs we have visited many vets over the years but I can honestly say this vet (Dr Chris) is the best we have ever been to. Our dog Maxie was recently attacked by another dog and we took him here for specialist surgery. Dr Chris took such wonderful care of Max and kept us updated the whole time on how he was doing. Thank you Chris and the whole team at Colyton Vet for taking such good care of our dog Maxie. We will be using this as our regular vet from now on even though it is over an hour away from our house - highly reccomended. Read Less

All the staff are professional and show so much kindness. They tried very hard to save our beloved pet and were extremely supportive and compassionate when the time came whereby they could do no more. Had my dogs looked after here always been a good friendly veterinarian to take them too, although everytime i ring and get a price from them it changes everytime i go to pay. So expect unexpecting charges wont be taking any of my pets back here. Read Less
