- Unncessary procedures! I no longer go here as the last time they were pressuring me to get teeth scaling done which they were quoting more than other vets! I took my dog to another vet and they were shocked at how clean her teeth were and were saying teeth scaling would mean she would need to go under and completely unnecessary for her!

This amazing practice deserves the highest praise for the care they deliver.
From the moment you walk through the door and are meet the friendly reception staff (special mention to Mandy ) through to seeing vets or nurses you are assured of being given exceptional treatment and genuine concern for your pet.
If you are looking for a vet with maximum level of care and compassion I highly recommend Dr Mila Kasby. She has cared for my beautiful corgi for 14 years and has been a special person in our lives during many difficult times.
Sadly I had to say goodbye to my beloved Ben 3 weeks ago and once again the staff were exceptional (special thank you to Dr Clare O'connor )
I need to send a huge thank you to Jodie for being there with a massive hug and a much loved shoulder to cry on at this difficult time.
Keep up the great work and you will all remain in my heart forever.

This veterinary practice is great, I've been taking my much loved animal family to them for probably close to 15 or more years & they have always given them the very best of care. All the vets in this practice are extremely knowledgeable, but my personal vet of choice is Dr Clare O'Connor she is fantastic & I can't recommend her highly enough, Clare is always caring & professional & i always feel confident placing any of my animals in her care. She recently took care of our latest edition to the family, our kitten Ollie & once again she was brilliant (Thanks Once Again Clare Your The BEST). All the nurses are great at what they do & the receptionists are friendly & helpful (Especially Mandy). The staff and facilities are wonderful. There are so many avenues to utilise to help make your pet be the best they can be. These guys offer it all. We sadly had to say goodbye to our girl after a few days in GWAH care. They were kind and compassionate and gave us all the time in the world to say goodbye. A week later they showed us how caring they were by delivering a memorial rose. It was so unexpected and touching and really cemented why we've been a loyal customer for over 12 years.

Fate led me to GWAH in May 2017 to look at potential boarding for my cat Ebony, almost 15yo. I no longer felt comfortable leaving her at a regular boarding facility whilst i went on holidays as I felt she needed more care and observation than they typically offer. (I had an overseas holiday planned for September 2017) When her health took a turn a week after my boarding enquiry and well before my holiday, I decided to take her back to GWAH for her ongoing vet needs as I fel…t so much better about the level of care and expertise I observed just whilst visiting the week before. We saw Dr Matthew, and whilst the road had been rocky for Ebony it has always been smooth and reassuring with Matt and the other vets, nurses and other loving caring staff who have assisted. We've had ongoing blood tests, ultrasounds, xrays, and they even had no hesitation in getting her seen by SASH for referal specialist advice. I have just returned from holidays and was able to fully enjoy it, secure in the knowledge that I had made the right choice in going to GWAH for her ongoing care and boarding needs. The future however long that may be is uncertain with Ebony, she isn't a robust young cat. What I am however very certain of is the level of ongoing care and compassion she and I will continue to experience. The Vets & Vet Nurses at Great Western Animal Hospital were so thoughtful, caring and understanding while we were going through a very traumatic time with our very much loved English Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Neelix.
The care they gave Neelix was as such they would give their own family = the best!
He is so spoilt at home and it was so while in Great Western Animal Hospital staff care.
We would not hesitate to recommend your fury family members to their care.

My Family has recently moved to Pendle Hill. Then a few days ago I searched the nearby animal hospital for our dog. From google I found this hospital. However, after looked at the review with the free dental check-up case, we didn€t choose this cunning animal hospital.
That cat€s owner already stated that made the appointment over the phone with staff promised free dental check-up in 2016. So the response from General Manager should not say that the policy was changed 3 years ago. This was totally no responsible answer.
Moreover, I think every customer has the choice to go ahead or not with the surgery, it is ridiculous and unbelievable to give a customer a bill of consultation fee after a few months because the customers did not choose them for the surgery.
I totally understand and support with that Cat€s owner. And because of that, I and my husband took our dog to RSPCA yesterday. We are so glad that the Vet with her exceptional, professional knowledge and full of patience to us . Also, with excellent customer service of the receptionist and new gorgeous renovation look. Due to I really hear too much regarding the bad images and complaints of some animal hospitals and the vets, I highly recommend RSPCA for your next choice.

I called up before 24th Nov 16 to make sure they still have free dental check up for our cat same as 2012. A lady replied me said yes, still got free dental check up. So we brought our cat to this hospital again on 24th Nov 16. (2nd time)
A Vet found the sympton name FORLS and gave us the quote. we told her need to compare with RSPCA as the cat was adopted there and has annual health check there as well. She said no problem. So we left that day and they didn't say we have to pay or print out any invoice.
Then after a few days, the receptionist(I didn't ask her name) called me to follow up. I told her already booked in RSPCA to have surgery for the cat. She then said fine and said feel free to give them a call if I change my mind.
However, in Jan 17, I suddently received a call from receptionist call Mandy said I need to pay $69.50 for consultation fee. I told her already agreeded by the phone appointment was free dental check up and same as 2012. However, she insisted to say I have to pay without further explaination.
I complained to FairTrading afterwards, but they say they can't do anything until I receive the invioce from them.
Then, last week I received the invoice from them.
I will complaint to Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW for their no faith and cheating for consultation fee.
I really want to give them no star for such nasty way to treat customer.
However, I am forced to give 1 star in order to go through to the post.

We were referred too by a family member to goto great western animal hospital as their prices are very good. We took our too pure bred American staffy's to their first vet check to get their needles....since the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely outstanding. The staff are fantastic and treat our dogs like the queens they are. Our dogs actually enjoy going there. Today they had their desexing operation and once again the love and care they showed our two pups were outstanding. The called me 3 times for updates on how they were doing and made sure they were fed and comfortable. I can't thank them enough for the amount of effort and great service they provide. Great work guys!

My 9 year old little dog Lucy recently required some extensive surgery involving anaesthesia. She was under the care of surgeon Dr Pat Chan, two words..awesome and brilliant. This man is gifted and his love of animals and medicine shines just watching him work. Lucy was also cared for by Dr Clare O'Connor, 2 world class doctors we are lucky to have in our community. To the great nurses and reception staff thank you very much also. Lucy is now day 7 post op and is happy and almost back to her self. A big woof from her also.

- Unncessary procedures! I no longer go here as the last time they were pressuring me to get teeth scaling done which they were quoting more than other vets! I took my dog to another vet and they were shocked at how clean her teeth were and were saying teeth scaling would mean she would need to go under and completely unnecessary for her!

This amazing practice deserves the highest praise for the care they deliver.
From the moment you walk through the door and are meet the friendly reception staff (special mention to Mandy ) through to seeing vets or nurses you are assured of being given exceptional treatment and genuine concern for your pet.
If you are looking for a vet with maximum level of care and compassion I highly recommend Dr Mila Kasby. She has cared for my beautiful corgi for 14 years and has been a special person in our lives during many difficult times.
Sadly I had to say goodbye to my beloved Ben 3 weeks ago and once again the staff were exceptional (special thank you to Dr Clare O'connor )
I need to send a huge thank you to Jodie for being there with a massive hug and a much loved shoulder to cry on at this difficult time.
Keep up the great work and you will all remain in my heart forever.

This veterinary practice is great, I've been taking my much loved animal family to them for probably close to 15 or more years & they have always given them the very best of care. All the vets in this practice are extremely knowledgeable, but my personal vet of choice is Dr Clare O'Connor she is fantastic & I can't recommend her highly enough, Clare is always caring & professional & i always feel confident placing any of my animals in her care. She recently took care of our latest edition to the family, our kitten Ollie & once again she was brilliant (Thanks Once Again Clare Your The BEST). All the nurses are great at what they do & the receptionists are friendly & helpful (Especially Mandy). The staff and facilities are wonderful. There are so many avenues to utilise to help make your pet be the best they can be. These guys offer it all. We sadly had to say goodbye to our girl after a few days in GWAH care. They were kind and compassionate and gave us all the time in the world to say goodbye. A week later they showed us how caring they were by delivering a memorial rose. It was so unexpected and touching and really cemented why we've been a loyal customer for over 12 years.

Fate led me to GWAH in May 2017 to look at potential boarding for my cat Ebony, almost 15yo. I no longer felt comfortable leaving her at a regular boarding facility whilst i went on holidays as I felt she needed more care and observation than they typically offer. (I had an overseas holiday planned for September 2017) When her health took a turn a week after my boarding enquiry and well before my holiday, I decided to take her back to GWAH for her ongoing vet needs as I fel…t so much better about the level of care and expertise I observed just whilst visiting the week before. We saw Dr Matthew, and whilst the road had been rocky for Ebony it has always been smooth and reassuring with Matt and the other vets, nurses and other loving caring staff who have assisted. We've had ongoing blood tests, ultrasounds, xrays, and they even had no hesitation in getting her seen by SASH for referal specialist advice. I have just returned from holidays and was able to fully enjoy it, secure in the knowledge that I had made the right choice in going to GWAH for her ongoing care and boarding needs. The future however long that may be is uncertain with Ebony, she isn't a robust young cat. What I am however very certain of is the level of ongoing care and compassion she and I will continue to experience. The Vets & Vet Nurses at Great Western Animal Hospital were so thoughtful, caring and understanding while we were going through a very traumatic time with our very much loved English Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Neelix.
The care they gave Neelix was as such they would give their own family = the best!
He is so spoilt at home and it was so while in Great Western Animal Hospital staff care.
We would not hesitate to recommend your fury family members to their care.

The staff treated us with so much kindness which was really appreciated when I was so stressed. Lucky it was nothing serious and despite this they didn't treat me like I was silly. It so refreshing to be treated with such kindness.

My Family has recently moved to Pendle Hill. Then a few days ago I searched the nearby animal hospital for our dog. From google I found this hospital. However, after looked at the review with the free dental check-up case, we didn€t choose this cunning animal hospital.
That cat€s owner already stated that made the appointment over the phone with staff promised free dental check-up in 2016. So the response from General Manager should not say that the policy was changed 3 years ago. This was totally no responsible answer.
Moreover, I think every customer has the choice to go ahead or not with the surgery, it is ridiculous and unbelievable to give a customer a bill of consultation fee after a few months because the customers did not choose them for the surgery.
I totally understand and support with that Cat€s owner. And because of that, I and my husband took our dog to RSPCA yesterday. We are so glad that the Vet with her exceptional, professional knowledge and full of patience to us . Also, with excellent customer service of the receptionist and new gorgeous renovation look. Due to I really hear too much regarding the bad images and complaints of some animal hospitals and the vets, I highly recommend RSPCA for your next choice.

I called up before 24th Nov 16 to make sure they still have free dental check up for our cat same as 2012. A lady replied me said yes, still got free dental check up. So we brought our cat to this hospital again on 24th Nov 16. (2nd time)
A Vet found the sympton name FORLS and gave us the quote. we told her need to compare with RSPCA as the cat was adopted there and has annual health check there as well. She said no problem. So we left that day and they didn't say we have to pay or print out any invoice.
Then after a few days, the receptionist(I didn't ask her name) called me to follow up. I told her already booked in RSPCA to have surgery for the cat. She then said fine and said feel free to give them a call if I change my mind.
However, in Jan 17, I suddently received a call from receptionist call Mandy said I need to pay $69.50 for consultation fee. I told her already agreeded by the phone appointment was free dental check up and same as 2012. However, she insisted to say I have to pay without further explaination.
I complained to FairTrading afterwards, but they say they can't do anything until I receive the invioce from them.
Then, last week I received the invoice from them.
I will complaint to Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW for their no faith and cheating for consultation fee.
I really want to give them no star for such nasty way to treat customer.
However, I am forced to give 1 star in order to go through to the post.

We were referred too by a family member to goto great western animal hospital as their prices are very good. We took our too pure bred American staffy's to their first vet check to get their needles.....
We were referred too by a family member to goto great western animal hospital as their prices are very good. We took our too pure bred American staffy's to their first vet check to get their needles....since the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely outstanding. The staff are fantastic and treat our dogs like the queens they are. Our dogs actually enjoy going there. Today they had their desexing operation and once again the love and care they showed our two pups were outstanding. The called me 3 times for updates on how they were doing and made sure they were fed and comfortable. I can't thank them enough for the amount of effort and great service they provide. Great work guys!

My 9 year old little dog Lucy recently required some extensive surgery involving anaesthesia. She was under the care of surgeon Dr Pat Chan, two words..awesome and brilliant. This man is gifted and his love of animals and medicine shines just watching him work. Lucy was also cared for by Dr Clare O'Connor, 2 world class doctors we are lucky to have in our community. To the great nurses and reception staff thank you very much also. Lucy is now day 7 post op and is happy and almost back to her self. A big woof from her also.

My 8+ yr old cat appeared to have a ruptured absyss on her belly. I contacted the Great Western Animal Hospital because they have an animal ambulance service. The nurse that came to pickup my cat assisted me in getting my fiesty cat into the carry case for transport.
