We spent $700 on our cat at this vet. They then wanted us to spend an additional $900 on a ultrasound for the cat for further testing because they were not sure what the exact problem was. The vet gave us a very low dose of the medication to treat him with. A few days later he relapsed so we went to the vet and asked if we could get a higher dose of the medication or some other medication that may help him. The nurse kept saying they were busy and the only way they can help us is if we bring the cat in again for more testing. I asked if we could speak with the vet, and the nurse kept telling us that she is busy and hadn't had lunch yet. We basically spent $700 for nothing. We then decided to take the cat to a vet hospital who immediately administered a higher dose of the medication without all the extra testing(and additional costs) . Our cat would have had a heart attack that night. They were so so unhelpful- extremely upsetting. The nurse didn't make a genuine attempt to help us. No empathy whatsoever. If they cared about animals they would not behave in this way. They would do what they can to help you. The nurse just sat there and repeated herself over and over ( it was very patronising). All I was asking was for a higher dose medication- I even offered to pay a consultation fee. I said to her- if we don't get him something he will probably die- she replied 'well take him to an emergency vet'. She could see we were stressed and didn't nothing to help. Very happy with the staff here. Dr Jenny shiu is fantastic and so was Dr Alvin yeung. The vet nurses are all so wonderful and helpful and answer all my questions no matter how dumb they are. My cat loves all the people in this clinic and are not afraid of them. Read Less

The grooming service is definitely one I will not be using again. My puppy looks like a child has taken a pair of scissors to him. His nails were not cut after a specific request to. He had been there all day as no one contacted me to collect him when he was done and was certainly not helpful over the phone. Upon collection my puppy wasn't even groomed properly, and when I questioned it well let me say that the customer service was not 5 star. I will not be using or recommending this service to anybody. Took my cat there suffering from a paralysis tick bite. They, the male vet who's name I can't remember, there at the time, couldn't figure this out. This moron suggested my cat may have eaten pills or drugs off the floor to make him sick!! My cat stayed the night as per his suggestion but the next day when the female vet returned from leave, she found the problem (tick) but by then it was too late & he had to be put down. You should be thankful I didn't take legal action as I would have had a very strong case of negligence!!! Read Less

Been to several vets over the years but this one is very reasonably priced and has exceptional care. They give you a call to let you know how much it's going to cost beforehand, which I think is just a bonus. Definitely the best vet clinic in the Ryde area. Read Less

The people here are quite friendly and they have looked after our two kittens quite well so far. I was a bit shocked at being charged $75 for a check-up for my kitten (a doctor for myself doesn't cost that much) when he had an upset stomach, but I've not owned an animal before and perhaps I should have been more prepared that they are quite expensive.
