Our beloved family little dog "Syd" recently became increasingly ill with his leaking heart valve etc. On our many worrying visits to Fox Valley Animal Hospital we always found Alex (the Vet.) a very professional and caring dedicated Veterinarian over the many years looking after our family dogs. Always thoroughly explaining the medical situation as problems became apparent. Many thanks to Alex, Katie and the team of lovely fun nurses. Looks like a nice vet but we were very disappointed with the doggy day care - wasn't a match to what the vet told me or what is on their website. There were only other dogs in for grooming that day which would have been fine if I had been made aware that was what happened, I was told by the vet they are paired up with other dogs or same energy level to play with. The courtyard they were in also wasn't of the same standard as the rest of the vets, looked a bit grotty and couldn't see any toys. The back gate looked run down, disappointed that when I asked our dog had been left outside all day in 36 degree heat. I can't really see the benefit of this services and wouldn't go back. Read Less

Heard stories of the owner and lead vet Dr Alex being very abusive as well as throwing tantrums easily. Spoke to a few locals in Wahroonga and they agreed, even saying neighbours hear him screaming and throwing things. This sort of information allows me to easily make the decision of NEVER bringing my beloved pets into the presence of such an angry man. Planting lush gardens and creating an image of harmony and professionalism on the outside yet being a nut job on the inside doesn't fool everyone. Read Less

I've lived in many parts of Sydney and therefore based on where I live each time have frequented many local vets for cats and dogs over the years. Then one day I met Dr. Alex and despite changing suburbs since, I continue to drive 45mins to 1hr to see him since he's always provided the best service and advice that I've ever encountered over my decades of pet ownership. Alex and his team have always loved and looked after my Maltese Terrier Charlie like their own. Even in hardship, they would always assist, always looking out for him. One of the brunette senior nurses was very curt when I asked how much it would be for my dog to have his nails clipped. She then proceeded to give me attitude and rolled her eyes. Had heard rumours about clinic being overpriced and having rude vets and staff but I didn't realise the said rumours were true. Wouldn't recommend and won't be returning. Read Less

Dr Alex is extremely rude and arrogant. Treats customers like crap. Overpriced clinic and has a new nurse every week. 'Senior' discounts amount to nothing and your average consultation is always overpriced. Would not recommend. Read Less

After being turned away by a cold and unprofessional vet at Concord Vet (who charged me $70 to check if the traumatised creature had a microchip), the Fox Valley Animal Hospital crew took in this little baby so that she could be adopted by a loving family. We had to say goodbye to our 5 month old kitten Jarvis recently as he was extremely sick. I came home from work today to discover a bunch of flowers at the door. VERY expensive - charged hundreds of dollars more for the same services as other local vets.Tried to upsell/over-service at every opportunity. Doesn't listen to concerns and ignores what you tell him.I was warned against going here by people in local dog parks when we first moved here - I really should have listened to them. Read Less
