Your Devoted Companions - Wallsend Vet Newcastle provides your pet with a wide range of veterinary services to promote health and wellbeing.
We cover all veterinary services from vaccinations and neutering to orthopaedics, dental repairs (including root canal therapy) acupuncture and natural therapies, cruciate surgery, in-house diagnostics (including blood analysis, digital x-ray, advanced ultrasonography), breeding services and sports medicine.
Every six months we offer your pet a free dental assessment so remember to book your appointment with us today.
We also offer grooming services, cat boarding and puppy pre-school along with dog obedience.
Wallsend Vet Newcastle is working with the animal community and provides services to Friends of the Hound (greyhound adoption service), Hunter Animal Rescue (HAR) and care for native animals in association with Hunter Native Animal Trust Fund.
Not only do we care for the animals of the Newcastle area but due to our wide range of services, we also attract clients from Taree to Sydney. Treating small animals, sporting animals and exotic pocket pets.

I would NEVER recommend or go back to this vet .
After taking my 15yr old baby to them on 3 seperate occasions within days of each other because she unwell and was showing no sign of improvement and was declining .
At each appointment I was lucky to be there for 5 minutes while the vet did a bare minimum check and just kept telling me “well she is an old girl” I was continually told to keep her fluids up and was told to go buy buscopan to give her ( she had a history of pancreatitis )
After STILL no improvement and rapid decline , I took her to another vet for a second opinion , they immediately did X-rays and an ultra sound only to find a blockage somewhere and fluid had been leaking into her abdomen and could only be fixed with surgery , by this point my baby was so weak and lethargic she would not have made it through the surgery and her chances of recovery were very low , I had to make the worst and most heartbreaking decision then and there to say goodbye to my soul dog who had been by my side for 15yrs !
Had this vet done their job and performed tests and bothered to investigate properly as to why she was unwell , especially after 3 appointments and me even showing the vet videos I had taken of what she was doing … she could have possibly been saved , this was also confirmed by the other vet I took her to see .
Instead she was written off as an old girl , and we rushed out the door .
They neglected to provide her further testing , pain medications and care .
To say I’m disappointed , angry , guilt ridden for not taking her elsewhere sooner and heartbroken is an understatement .
THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PET !

I bought my puppy in yesterday for a checkup as she had been ill and i was treated so horribly. The nurse that saw us was very unproffessional and very rude!
I was disgraced when she denied us the option of using zipmoney and then proceeded to say if we didnt have money we should not have bought a dog.
I then got out my cash to pay, the bill was for $109, i paid with $120 cash, the horrible lady then said if she had of known i had $120 on me she would of charged me that instead of the cheaper price.
So appalling, so unproffessional and so RUDE! I will never ever bring my dog or any animal back here for that matter.

We couldn't ask for better Vets and staff than the wonderful people who work here. We took in one of our Guinea pigs who needed immediate medical attention the Vet was straight on to it and she did everything she could to help her but the outcome of several tests ment that we would have to make a very difficult decision. We cannot thank the Vet and staff enough for being so understanding with us and it doesn't matter what size your furry family member is they do matter to them. We will definitely be taking our other guinea pigs to this vet.

I can't speak highly enough of the staff at Wallsend Veterinary Clinic this week.
Our cockatiel was motionless on the bottom of the cage when we arrived.
The concern and care given to our tiny patient was amazing from the nurse at reception to the two vets and practice staff that attended to him.
With the treatment given and instructions on how to administer, what we were given to use at home, against all odds, our bird was back on his highest perch and talking to us by the next afternoon.

A big THANK YOU to Wallsend Vet hospital for taking care of my baby! We had a little scare this Christmas when Rockie had blood in his urine. Thankfully Chris and Allira were able to fit rock in at the last minute. After a few tests, a lot of stress and tears it turns out that it was just a UTI - a few days on pain killers and antibiotics and he will be fine! He already seems back to his old self!

We have been with wallsend vet for many years. We had to use them to unfortunately say good bye to our best friend. The staff not only showed compassion and sympathy but did not rush us in saying our good byes even though it was after closing hours before we left. I could not say thank you enough to them all and it will forever be in my heart what they did for us on that very hard day.

Also the following day your reception staff rang to see how Roxy was, which was really touching. I would definately recommend then to others.

Wow, finally a Newcastle Vet hospital that really cares about our cats and us. They have a separate Cat waiting area, Exam room and Cat Hospital . There is even an Outdoor Cat exercise yard. Solomon and Deli are so relaxed when they visit for a check up .
All the Vets and nurses treat my cats with so much love.

I have been going here since the start of the year with my 4 year old cavalier Lenny and then also my rescue kitten Ollie. All the staff are lovely and very caring. Every visit I leave feeling better and always extremely happy with how my pets and I have beem treated. I always get a follow up text or call to check how they are doing. I was overwhelmed with the quality of service when my kitten was sick and recieved a free recheck. They are priced reasonably and I would recommend them to everyone.

After visiting several local vets that charged a small fortune to fix my rabbit with no successful outcome, I've finally found the perfect vets that not only have established the cause of issues with my animal, they have shown they care more for the animals than the money. It's refreshing to see such wonderful and caring staff and I only wish I had been recommended to see them sooner. Cannot recommend enough.

I've taken my dog to these guys for over 10 years. My experience has always been positive. The vet staff have always been very professional and knowledgeable and the support staff are very helpful. The only negative is at times the wait is a bit long and sometimes I have arrived there and no one is manning the front desk which is a little frustrating.

After taking my 15yr old baby to them on 3 seperate occasions within days of each other because she unwell and was showing no sign of improvement and was declining .

We couldn't ask for better Vets and staff than the wonderful people who work here. We took in one of our Guinea pigs who needed immediate medical attention the Vet was straight on to it and she did everything she could to help her but the outcome of several tests ment that we would have to make a very difficult decision. Wow, finally a Newcastle Vet hospital that really cares about our cats and us. They have a separate Cat waiting area, Exam room and Cat Hospital . There is even an Outdoor Cat exercise yard. Solomon and Deli are so relaxed when they visit for a check up .
All the Vets and nurses treat my cats with so much love.

I have been going here since the start of the year with my 4 year old cavalier Lenny and then also my rescue kitten Ollie. All the staff are lovely and very caring. Every visit I leave feeling better and always extremely happy with how my pets and I have beem treated. I always get a follow up text or call to check how they are doing. I was overwhelmed with the quality of service when my kitten was sick and recieved a free recheck. They are priced reasonably and I would recommend them to everyone.

After visiting several local vets that charged a small fortune to fix my rabbit with no successful outcome, I've finally found the perfect vets that not only have established the cause of issues with my animal, they have shown they care more for the animals than the money. It's refreshing to see such wonderful and caring staff and I only wish I had been recommended to see them sooner. Cannot recommend enough.

wham they send a letter in mail reminding me annual health check two months post getting it done. AVOID them
or watch them because this is BS,,,,,trying to rob me.

I've taken my dog to these guys for over 10 years. My experience has always been positive. The vet staff have always been very professional and knowledgeable and the support staff are very helpful. The only negative is at times the wait is a bit long and sometimes I have arrived there and no one is manning the front desk which is a little frustrating.
