When my dog Evie hurt her leg and was in pain and limping I took her to the local vets I'd been seeing for some time, but wasn't happy with the advice or the very casual attitude of the attending vet. I decided to get a second opinion and went to Erina Heights Vet Hospital, and I am so glad I did. Mel accurately diagnosed the condition as a luxating patella, and took the time to explain everything very clearly to me. I decided to go ahead with her recommendation of surgery, and was able to get the operation done the next day, even though they had to squeeze it in to an already full schedule. The level of care shown by everyone at Erina Heights was absolutely fantastic, and Mel impressed me so much with her thoroughness, but also because she was gentle with Evie and genuinely seemed to care and make sure I was fully informed all the way. I got a phone call post surgery to give me an update, and was even sent a photo to show how well Evie was doing. It was such a wonderful surprise which took a lot of worry out of the process and gave me confidence that everything was going smoothly. The post surgery care has been equally great, and Evie has made a terrific and full recovery. I won't ever go anywhere else now, and I'm so happy I didn't settle on what I now know to be very inferior care at my previous vets. I'm a first time fur mummy and I've brought my rescue pup here for all her check ups and vaccinations so far. All the staff are so lovely and answer all my silly questions with empathy and understanding. Heaven forbid anything happens to my fur baby, the guys here are the first people I would call and I know she will always be in the best hands. My hip dysplasic dog and myself were treated with complete disrepect on several occasions. My dog had several medical tests. I was lied to which led to my dog going through unnecessary expensive tests. Had to fight to get results of unnecessary tests. The only vet clinic i have come across that refuses to bring my dog out untill i have paid. The vet constantly contradicts himself. Expects you to believe every word he says without showing test results. This vet clinic has taught me to never ever take my dog to a vet again. Read Less

My experience was good in the beginning. They diagnosed my puppy German shepherd with hip displacement, we didn't know much about it and wanted to get a second opinion. As soon as we asked for the x-rays they became defensive and unethical telling us that no other place would do a good job. They were completely rude and unprofessional, they tried to charge as in the beginning for the surgery without even testing my puppy. I'm extremely disappointed with the attitudes from these people. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Earlier this year, my wife and I got our Rottweiler puppy €Tank€ at 3 months old. He was growing at a fast rate and by 5 months of age, Tank would cry in pain every time he tried to get up. Xrays showed Tank had severe hip dysplasia. We were told he would likely need an operation, with possible future operations at a later age. After researching other options, we were happy to discover that Erina Heights Veterinary Hospital had a hydrotherapy treadmill with veterinary nurses trained to use this technology. Tank started an initial 4 week conditioning program at 6 months of age. This was so successful in helping Tank to become more mobile, we have continued the treatment every week for the past 4 months with his favourite vet nurse, Jade. The hydrotherapy has helped Tank develop necessary strength in his back legs and hips and has almost normal mobility. He is now 10 months old, 50 kg, no longer needs daily pain killers and going from strength to strength. It is almost miraculous how effective this treatment regime has been. Without aggressive surgery, hydrotherapy has given our Rottweiler a near normal future. We are thoroughly impressed with the caring, knowledgeable and professional service we have received from the staff at Erina Heights Veterinary Hospital.
