I have been to this vet for years, I even recommended it to friends and family because of how much they seemed to care for animals. This past year, my experience with this vet has been horrid. My dog had a tumor on his leg, so I had to have a lot of visits over the span of a month. I dropped my dog off on the day of the surgical removal of his tumor. About an hour and a half later I receive a phone call from them informing me to pick up my dog because they no longer believe the tumor is cancerous. When I come to pick my dog up, they inform me that they did not check the dog or the tumor before injecting sedatives and drugs. They decided to charge me for the sedatives, drugs, bandages, half a day fee, and a few other things, all because they didn’t check my dog’s tumor before injecting him with drugs and sedatives. I was disappointed that they made a mistake and were charging the customer for it, with not even an apology for the slip-up, but I paid it anyway. I later have to bring my dog back in to have the bandages removed, when they remove them I notice that the inner bandage was wrapped poorly and had caused a large wound on my dog’s leg, they looked extremely sore, painful and smelled foul. I mention the wound and the vet brushes it aside trying to say, “It happens”. My dog now has a large permanent scar from it and no fur in the area. I tried to look past the negligence as innocent mistakes on their part because I had such good experiences in the past. I recently took my two dogs in for their yearly boosters, I called over the phone to check the price beforehand and the man told me that I could take both dogs to one appointment to get their boosters and it would cost $140-150 all up. When I took them in, they handed me a bill of close to $400. I tried to explain to the head nurse that the man on the phone told me a completely different price and even explained that I had never heard of any other vets that would charge so much for 2 kennel cough boosters and a single consultation. I asked them to check the phone call notes for the man I spoke with and explain that it was in no way the head nurse’s fault since she was not apart of the issue. She asks me to only pay $100 because of the issue and that she would sort it out and speak with the man I spoke with the next day before contacting me. She never contacted me, about a week later I receive a letter in the mail saying that they terminate their services to me, claiming made the workspace unsafe and intimidated the head nurse. This is astonishing, I never raised my voice nor did I say anything rude, if anything I confirmed with the head nurse that in no way was the issue her fault, but did say that the issues I have had with them needed to be discussed and solved because it was not good enough for paying customers to be treated this way. I will not be coming back. Be this a warning to how they resolve issues on their end, even when you are polite and respectful about it, not what you need when dealing when your pet is unwell at all.
