Disgusting treatment my husband cam home from bush 13 nov late at night to take me to hospital on the 14th for surgery. My Belgian shepherd Mercedes had been off colour and not eaten for 2 days so when we got home after surgery he took her to Greencross at 7 pm on my request as she had started to vomit. Greencross service provided ad per receipt was a health assessment and a cerebra injection to stop nausea and worm tablets sent home which I had requested. My husband was told she would be fine but on the off chance she wasn’t to bring her back on the 14th in the arvo. He brought her home and left to go back out field at 3am on the 15th. I woke up Mercedes was not breathing properly could hardly move and I couldn’t get her to even respond to me. I rang another vet at 7am and rushed her up to them after having surgery and I was not meant to drive but be in bed rest. Mercedes was severely dehydrated her gums were tacky could not even hold her head up. They put her on IV and ring me later to tell me she was severely toxic and if she did not have an operation I would lose her. I am now looking at over $3000 to try to save my baby plus the freaking $193.60 I was charged by Greencross because they were to lazy or incompetent to actually do their job and treat Mercedes correctly. The staff on the counter did not even know what breed of dog she is after I had rung them and told them when making the appointment. WTF. Listen to your clients we know our fur babies better than you think and wh. Told the breed how about you actually listen. I have been a registered breeder since 1987 I think I know a thing or two about dogs and I certainly know when one needs fluids. I did receive a phone call from Greencross in the 15th to check on Mercedes and when I said she is dying and I had to rush her to another vet the response was “Oh that’s good”. WTF is good about that????Would never use again Read Less

A few months before ju ju died i took her to this greencross because i foolishly believed in the greencross "plan". Despite me telling them she was eating less and drinking more water i was told there wasn't much wrong with her. A few months later she had a seizure and i visited greencross kelso where after a days observation and a blood test i was told there wasnt much wrong with her. I waited 4 days on this advice until i rushed her to JCU vets where they looked at her blood tests from greencross 4 days earlier and told me in a few minutes ju ju had renal failure. Because i waited 4 days on incredibly stupid advice AND relied on a vet that couldn't read her own blood tests ju ju died. I spent 2000 at JCU or more trying to salvage the damage done by the kelso greencross branch. If only the aitkenvale branch and kelso branch had done their job ( kept telling them about her curious behaviour of drinking and not eating). Basically they killed her. Stay away from both of these places if you value your pet. Read Less
