We took our baby cockatiel Cliffton in for his first check up this week. So glad we picked this clinic. Very professional informative and caring as far as everything went. Cliffton is our first bird and Dr Kat was amazing. She obviously loves birds, and knows how to handle them with such love and care! Kat had to take blood for tests, clip his nails, do a full examination and worm our little boy. After the ordeal he still just loved her, snuggling up to her and giving her kisses before we left. Awesome first visit experience for us and our baby cockatiel.

My boy only got to visit the team once about 10 days ago. Tests proved that it was best to let him go (he was a ripe old age) and I can't thank Kathryn and the team enough for their compassion, professionalism & care in looking after him, and treating him (and me) with the highest respect. The sympathy card and poem that I received just yesterday only added in showing me their obvious love for the birds who are lucky enough to be treated by the team.

As a fellow avian Veterinarian I have visited the Brisbane Bird Vet to observe how things are done in another outstanding avian veterinary facility. Veterinary colleagues hold BBV as a successful example of avian-only practice, as well as practical, client-focussed excellence. The practice is so well designed, especially the airy,spacious sensation conveyed by the large windows. The caging system employed is innovative and serves the requirements of birds precisely. Dr Gallagher and Dr Loughlin bring a wealth of experience both to pet bird and aviary veterinary practice to BBV, and it is my belief that they would provide an excellent veterinary service for anyone with an ill bird!

I have unfortunately had to take my little feathered friend here a handful of times in the last few months and I am so appreciative of the care and support this vet practice has offered me in this time. I have found they offer a very progressive approach to avian care and they know what they are doing. Please do not take your bird to a normal vet. I saw Adrian on my first visit and Kathryn for all visits after that and she is amazing. The vet nurses are also super super nice, friendly and passionate.

I took an injured bird to the normal vet I had used for years, they wanted to put it down. Since it was only injured and young I thought it worthwhile to take it to Adrian - thank goodness I did. They went above and beyond to help me, what was supposedly impossible to heal did so with the help of the staff and vets. Sweetie (as I named him) took off to a second chance at life some months later. I could not recommend them highly enough. They really care and are incredibly knowledgeable and even better, they share information so you know exactly what is going on the whole way.

We took our baby cockatiel Cliffton in for his first check up this week. So glad we picked this clinic. Very professional informative and caring as far as everything went. Cliffton is our first bird and Dr Kat was amazing. She obviously loves birds, and knows how to handle them with such love and care! Kat had to take blood for tests, clip his nails, do a full examination and worm our little boy. After the ordeal he still just loved her, snuggling up to her and giving her kisses before we left. My boy only got to visit the team once about 10 days ago. Tests proved that it was best to let him go (he was a ripe old age) and I can't thank Kathryn and the team enough for their compassion, professionalism & care in looking after him, and treating him (and me) with the highest respect. I have unfortunately had to take my little feathered friend here a handful of times in the last few months and I am so appreciative of the care and support this vet practice has offered me in this time. I took an injured bird to the normal vet I had used for years, they wanted to put it down. Since it was only injured and young I thought it worthwhile to take it to Adrian - thank goodness I did. They went above and beyond to help me, what was supposedly impossible to heal did so with the help of the staff and vets.
