I recently moved suburbs which then meant of course a change in vet clinics. My family have been going to the same vet for over 10 years so I was very hesitant on trying a new clinic. After one of my friends referred me to Leanne and Paul (who also happen to be her aunt and uncle!) I could not be more THRILLED with how wonderful Leanne was with my cat. Winston is a special guy with severe anxiety issues and the tendency to attack anyone and everyone. From the moment I put his cage on the table Leanne was in complete control. I'd never seen Winston be so calm with anyone before. From that moment on I knew this was our new vet clinic. Leanne was so soothing, calming and explained everything so well to me to help me completely understand. Winston was also at ease on the table the entire time (also a rare occurrence!!). This morning I needed to take Winston in again, and hearing that Leanne was on holiday made me a little anxious not knowing if the new nurse would be able to handle my little aggressive fluff ball... I was wrong!! Tina was exactly like Leanne and absolutely wonderful. I cannot be more grateful that I have finally found a reliable and amazing vet clinic (that is actually better than my families clinic i have been going to the last 10+ years). Since our return to Australia in 2011, Paul and his team have cared for our beloved middle eastern desert dog Matilda. She has had some big health challenges and Paul has worked with us to keep her well and thriving. Sadly tonight we had to put her to sleep after a tough fight with pancreatitis. The whole team did everything possible medically and emotionally to support our girl and us. Public holidays, after hours, they were there for us and her and cared for her beautifully. We were not expecting to be there tonight, and were very touched to see one of the nurses had put love hearts on her bandages before leaving her - they could not have known we'd see that! And on a public holiday long weekend, Paul had set up Nanny cam so he could keep an eye on her right through the night. Integrity is doing the right thing when no one sees you and these people are in it for the right reasons and truly care. If you value a swanky new waiting room with a flatscreen tv and rows of pet accessories this is not the place for you. If you want an experienced team of vets and nurses to give you no nonsense advice and to care about your animals, don't hesitate to trust Grange Vet Surgery with your fur baby. Read Less

Recently our beloved dog Ruby had a severe problem with her throat. Over a couple of days her throat became very swollen, Dr Paul, Kathy and Claudia were so caring during this time of huge stress for our family. Most people only make a review when they are unhappy, I want to make this review because I am very happy with the service provided by Dr Paul, Dr Leanne and Dr Tina. We were new puppy owners six months ago, all vaccinations and the desexing operation were performed at the Grange Vet. They were unfailingly pleasant, approachable and full of good advice, the desexing operation when off without a hitch, Smudge recovered fully by the next day and is now roaring again. From the moment we called to book our appointment it was the most unwelcoming experience. From the receptionist to the vet we did not receive as little as a smile or hello. It felt like we were nothing but an inconvenience taking our 12 week old puppy to get her second vaccine. The way she was handled was very discomforting. You'd think a veterinarian would have a passion for helping and caring for animals. Our puppy has a very gentle nature and was shaking like a leaf by the time the ordeal was complete. The table she was placed on was uneven and put at a height our small puppy would of broken her legs if she had of fell and the vet did not watch or hold her at all. On three occasions she nearly slipped. Needless to say extremely upset and disappointed. No sense of customer service at all, zero welcoming and no care or compassion for THEIR chosen careers. Grange Vet Surgery go above and beyond to help you. Not only do they exert themselves to help your pets, but they also work tirelessly to support animal rescue groups like mine. The girls do long and late hours and are ALWAYS run off their feet - but still work hard to help you. Rachel & Claudia are super helpful, even responding to urgent late night messages, Dr Paul is unfailingly kind & compassionate, and Cathy, the practice manger, is very knowledgeable and just lovely to chat to. I am so grateful for everything Grange Vet has done to support the many animals I have sent through their doors. My Partner & I have just moved to Grange & have been hesitant to change Vets but so glad we did, we love them! My cat is a scrappy little thing. He refuses to stay indoors at night, preferring instead to roam the neighborhood getting into mischief.On one occasion he got into a dust-up with a feline foe and after a couple of days of limping around tragically we bit the (financial) bullet and took him into Grange Vet Surgery for a look- over.The girl on reception was great to deal with when booking and on arrival, and the vet we saw is brilliant- my Max fell in love with her. I wish I could remember her name to recommend her. Thankfully his injuries were nothing to be concerned about and after a quick antibiotic injection and a (very reasonably priced, thankfully) payment we were on our way. I'll definitely bring him back next time he decides to have a biff, but I hope it's not for a while. Read Less

Thanks to the Grange Vet Surgery for all the help they gave me on Xmas Eve. My dog, Bella was really sick with a bleeding bowel. Dr Paul came in very early in the morning to see her as I could not afford to take her to an emergency clinic. By the afternoon she had made a miraculous recovery and I was able to take her home for Xmas. The cost was more than reasonable and she is now back to normal. Completely unprofessional and a waste of time! Quoted one price on the phone and was thorough to receive all information - had everything written down. Book the appointment, go in and confirm pricing - completely different. Wasted 45mins travel there and 45mins back, not to mention unnecessary stress on my dog. No compensation or discount for our troubles offered for THEIR stuff up. Need to sort out their staff and make sure they are all on the same page and not misleading anyone else. Friendly service but a little pricey.My silly bird (that I'd only had for a few weeks) broke a feather and started bleeding all over the place. He was still chirping but I was freaking out! I hurriedly booked in after checking that they look after birds (via their website).When I arrived I was informed they rarely see birds, but recommended a great vet practice that did (The Bird Vet, Chermside) - but they also did a quick 5 minute check on my squealing cockatiel and assured me he'll live after finding he just split a blood feather.  I was reassured and happy, and a little surpised that a simple quick consult was $40 worth.Would certainly take a dog or cat there if I had them. (I can't, the cat would eat the bird and the dog would eat the cat!) Read Less
