I am pleased to have found Dr Terry to look after the health of my pet chickens. His veterinary knowledge paired with experience from raising his own poultry make him an excellent choice of vet. So much I had read on forums online has turned out to be unsound advice. With the long opening hours of the Middle Rd clinic and reasonable consult fees I now turn to Dr Terry instead of the internet when I have any problems with my feathered friends. Read Less

Vet was rude and didn't appear to have a love for animals, only in it for the money. Follow up appointment was quoted to be $35 however they decided as we were paying it would be a full fee because it took longer than they expected (just under 20 minutes) there are plenty of vets out their who are in it for the health of fur pets, find a better option. Can't recommend them enough, Dr Terry is a wealth of knowledge and has always been straight forward and honest when I've taken my pets to him. The staff have always been wonderful and their pricing is very reasonable (especially when it comes to an avian vet!). I was worried about taking in a sick chicken thinking a vet would just tell me to put her down, but Dr Terry was great in treating her and offering excellent advise for all their specific breed requirements. Rudest veterinarian ever. Does not know how to talk to humans. No advice, just lectures. When we questioned what he said we were told to find another vet as he didn't like our attitude. For the record we have been foster carers for the RSPCA and other pet rescue organisations for years, have many of our own animals and are very familiar with animal behaviour and how to care for injured animals. Words cannot express my thanks & appreciation for this fantastic facility! Dr Terry & his staff didn't know me, my son or my animals! Long story short! I called to make an appointment for my ailing 13 year old cat! My usual vet (Petvax Woodridge) extremely supportive but trading hours were an issue for the immediate ongoing care my cat may required! Dr Sara still made sure any records of benefit were sent through to help with a diagnosis! I appreciated Dr Sara's honesty care for my cat's welfare to know she may not be able to proceed with necessary treatment! Dr Sara My gorgeous Charlotte was very ill, Charlie at middle road diagnosed & discussed her concerns for my babies health as poor! Tests confirmed Dr Charlie was right & after consultation with Dr Terry led to the agonising decision to lay Charlotte to rest with dignity as her quality of life was poor. I must add, Dr Sara from Petvax has never met me or my animals! My cats are patients of the vet clinic that has undergone management / vet changes over the last couple of years! I cannot fault her dedication to pet care over a $ that could have been made! Sadly my baby girl was laid to rest after my son & I were given time to consider our options! We were given so much time, understanding & support I cannot compliment these wonderful people enough! I chose to cremate my baby girl! There are many providers of this service! We used to take our pets here when it was run by another Vet, who was caring and friendly. Wow, things have changed. We took our dog here recently with a sore leg. They wanted to keep him to take Xrays and we were quoted a maximum price. When we came back to pick him up we were told we had to pay the bill (which was $100 more than quote) before we saw the Vet or our dog! (We had already paid our initial consultation fee.) We said we'd like to know what we were paying for before we paid and was told " the Vet will go through that once you pay". They wouldn't tell us what we were paying for or why it was more than the quote until we paid. So bizarre and rude... It felt like they had our dog up for ransom! We had to demand to see the Vet first. The Vet told us our dog had a bad sprain. We still still didn't even see our dog until we paid the bill. (Over a few hundred dollars to be told our dog had a sprain). Such an appalling way to treat a customer who has been coming for years and has always paid fees; I mean who doesn't? Do people honestly grab their dog and run off without paying? I will not be coming back and will be advising friends and family of the awful manner in which clients are treated.Read Less

We can't thank Dr Terry enough. We took my 9 yr daughters 11 month old Sunnie (hand raised budgie) to see him as she was not too good. Terry advised things were grim (10-15% survival rate). My daughter was distraught so Terry took Sunnie in for treatment. His manner & knowledge just blew us away. I am happy to say Sunnie is still with us recovering slowly. We had to visit a different avian vet earlier this year & we walked out minus a bird & significantly poorer. A+ staff & facilities highly recommend Middle Road Vet surgery. Read Less
