We took our old Golden Retriever there about 2 months ago and Glen removed a cancerous tumour from his eye. It has given our dog a new lease on life, he is acting like he is a Puppy again. After going to this vet for many years with multiple special members of our family, I cannot believe the feedback regarding lack of empathy and disinterest during the heartbreaking process of having a much loved pet put to sleep. On two occasions during the last 12 months we have had to say goodbye to our older members of the family. One was put to sleep at the surgery and I with sitting with her the whole time (40 minutes in total) and the staff support was just incredible. The second occasion we had the staff come to the house to do the procedure, and once again, the two lovely ladies were very informative throughout the whole process and encouraged the whole family to sit with our dear old dog as he drifted off to sleep. I cannot stress enough how caring and compassionate the staff were during these heart-breaking events. Hats off to Glenn and the team, you guys are terrific! Read Less

Thank you! The staff at the Bloomin' Vet are amazing. Our big dog, Thatcher has been going for years and recently was diagnosed (after thorough investigation to make sure it was the case) with torn cruciate ligaments in both back knees. Two operations were booked a number of months apart. Thatcher reacted badly to the anaesthetic, but for his first time being sedated, this history was unknown to the vets. However, Katie and the girls stayed back with him late into the night, cuddling him, even warming him up with a blow dryer, to make sure he recovered properly (at no extra cost). We were called first thing and, although they weren't worried, the staff watched him all day while we were at work (at no extra costs). We brought him home that afternoon, and he was as happy as anything. The second surgery went perfectly, Katie made sure Thatch was not going to react poorly again so recovery was no issue whatsoever. We got regular updates throughout both surgeries, and follow-up since the surgeries has been nothing but excellent and shows just how much Katie, Glenn and the nurses care for the pets. Thatch isn't the friendliest dog but the whole team makes such an effort to ensure he is comfortable and never scared, he even likes to show off his new tricks, which the staff love to see. Been taking all our pets to The Bloomin' Vet for years. Never had a problem, all the people there are always very helpful and loving towards our pets. I was shocked by the negative feedback on a couple of previous Google reviews and for anyone to question the dedication and professionalism of the staff there just doesn't seem possible to me. I would never hesitate to call or take our pets up there if I was unsure about their wellbeing. Nothing but the utmost respect for everyone that works there. Read Less

I do not recommend this vet at all! Our dog was showing signs of a serious illness and the vets continued to prescribe medication that were no help to the problem. They performed procedures with out permission which needed not to be done and continued to charge us. When cancer was brought up at the last visit I rang again for a check up appointment and was told not to bring my dog back! Well two months down the track after believing blooming vets that something sinister was not the case with our beloved dog, we trusted our guy instinct and took her to another vet where she was diagnosed with cancer. She was put down 4 days later. If blooming vet had done their job and cared for my pet and not my money, my dog would not have had to suffer for so long. Had my 16 year old cats teeth cleaned by vet Belinda.. I was anxious about the procedure as my girl Squidley isn't the most friendly with strangers and is 'getting on a bit..' Not only did Belinda take great care of Squid.. she didn't  do anything that wasn't absolutely necessary. . I have had previous vet's who I'm  sure are only doing the service for the money not the animal.. my ol' girl is doing great and now has a fresh breath..well as fresh as a cat's can be.. would highly recommend Bloomin VetsThey have a new customer in me. In September 2014 I made the heartbreaking decision to put our very much beloved family member Sambucca to sleep. After 17 years of unconditional love and devotion it was a very difficult decision to make but I felt it was her time she was tired. I did do my research before coming to the decision and my understanding was that it should be a peaceful end. Instead what happened to Sambucca was not so pleasant not because the needle didnt work and not because she had any idea what was coming but because instead of allowing her to be sedated and fall asleep with the people she loved she was dragged out the back and sedated, she fell asleep with strangers in the back of a place that no dog particularly likes. We were then told to come back in 10 minutes once the sedation had worked and I have no doubt the vet who performed the procedure did not particularly want us to come back and to be honest we shouldnt have because she did not fall asleep with people she knew and loved.. This used to b a wonderful vet surgery, I don't think I will ever be back, Read Less

Have attempted to have our Chihuahua booked in for surgery for several weeks and Glen the owner is not returning our calls. We travelled 2 hours return as we used to leave near this vet and previously had great experiences. Now, would recommend not using them, support staff have been great, actual vet doesn't do anything to assist us. Glen seems happy to leave dog in pain Read Less
