I first met Sandra at our Sunshine Coast Goat club meeting. I knew from her vast knowledge of goats and CAE she was the right vet to give me advice. I got a very prompt reply. Our query was with regard to our doe who had a Caesar due to a non progressive labour.sandra said this could be due to sub clinical milk fever and to have the right medication at hand for her next kidding. Our doe produced a dead deformed kid. Sandra suggested towards the end of the does pregnancy to check for ketones with a daily urine test. My main concern was that this doe may not be able to deliver normally next time and would require a Caesarian. Sandra said that this was not the case and she could have a normal delivery next time. We are going to keep in touch and hopefully the out come will be a happy one. I really appreciate getting this advice from a vet who has extensive knowledge on goats and their well being. Thank you Very muchRead Less
