Pre-purchase equine vet check with WestVETS. Really disappointed with WestVETS for an important check. Firstly, I had the appointment booked for 10am and the vet turned up at the property at 8:45am...
Pre-purchase equine vet check with WestVETS. Really disappointed with WestVETS for an important check. Firstly, I had the appointment booked for 10am and the vet turned up at the property at 8:45am. No one informed me that she would be early. I as the potential purchaser had confirmed I would be present at the check in which I had to drive 45 mins to get to the property, the vet check was pretty much done when I arrived!! I called the vet the very day I had the check done requesting the report be sent, and that the vet call me back as I have questions about the results of the vet check. I called again on the Monday to say that I had no report, nor a call back from the vet. Again no one called me back at all. It has been 6 days and the only reason I received a phone call just now was because the vet could not get $ from my card to pay the account, which I had intentionally removed funds so that payment would not go through in order to trigger communication !!! For anyone wanting an equine pre-purchase vet check to not use WestVETS.!!

Absolutely brilliant cannot recomend highly enough Staff are caring compassionate & understanding Highly recomend Megan!! Also price/cost wise they are reasonable

Thanks John, for your dedication and expertise on a Saturday night !! :-) with my 16 y.o. warmblood mare and the great result confirmed on 12/11/16 with a pregnancy from the last dose of frozen semen that we had. Also big thanks to the team who took such good care of her with scans etc., for her brief visit.

Fortunately I have seen the behind the scenes of this facility and the one at Anstead. But unfortunately Marburg is below standards. I would never leave my horse in their hands. Once the owner leave...
Fortunately I have seen the behind the scenes of this facility and the one at Anstead. But unfortunately Marburg is below standards. I would never leave my horse in their hands. Once the owner leaves and their horses are out of sight, it's a different story. Handlers are quiet abusive towards animal, they are not provided with water and yards are over-crowded. I have had friends who thought they were leaving their for observation only to return and find that a horse who only required a drip has under-gone a major operation without the approval from owner. The vets hand over a huge bill and say the horse may not survive. If you are going to use WestVets.. please for the health of your animal and the size of your wallet, go to Anstead.
