I am so happy to have found McDowall Vet Practice for my anxious and sensitive girl Missy! We see Dr Josh who is incredibly kind and caring. He is so considerate of Missy’s anxiety and very gentle with her. He goes out of his way to accommodate her and make sure that she has a low-stress experience including during procedures such as blood draws and going under anaesthetic. She is now so much calmer and less stressed during vet visits and with being handled! Dr Josh is also very knowledgeable and is extremely thorough in going through her (very detailed!) history, all her many health issues and medications as well as making sure her health is on track. He is so patient and understanding of my concerns and anxieties and takes the time to answer all my questions. I recently had to leave Missy at the clinic for a dental and x-rays and I felt so reassured knowing that she was in such good hands. I am so grateful to Dr Josh for everything he does for us and I absolutely trust him with Missy's care. The vet nurses and other vets I’ve met have also been lovely and helpful. I appreciate that they are always attentive to Missy’s reactivity and fear of other dogs and make sure that she does not see other dogs in the clinic. We have been part of the McDowall Veterinary Practice family for over six years. Rob and the Team (without exception) have welcomed and cared for our fur babies with the utmost care and attention. From young kittens to senior cats, each pet has been looked after by the staff in the most sensitive way. It's obvious they genuinely care for all their patients and nothing is too much trouble. We were especially touched at the way the staff supported us, when two of our elderly cats had to make their way to "The Rainbow Bridge". The staff's sensitive handling was outstanding at this most difficult time in any pet owner's relationship with their beloved pet. There have been many other health challenges for our cat family and Rob and the staff used their expertise to overcome each problem with great dedication. The minute I arrived to McDowall Vet Clinic yesterday (and all the other times I’ve come in, in the past) with Nina, I have always been greeted with such joy from Leigh Anne especially. You are so understanding with my condition and Nina adores seeing you. Thank you to all the girls at the front desk too. I also want to say a massive thank you to Dr Josh! Josh, you are so compassionate and empathetic. Nina is so comfortable around you and you show so much love and affection to her. You are wonderful with your knowledge and helping me feel confident in our consultation, along with getting me on the right track with her care.
