From early 2009 through to the saddest day of my life in 2016, I attended this practice for my beloved and mischievous baby girl Flick. The staff were always amazing, yes it may be pricier than some other veterinary practices out there but for the level of care, respect and dignity they gave my baby girl it was definitely worth it. Shane, Holly and the other staff members treated the animals with love as if it were their own pets. I always received letters in the post from them reminding me of upcoming vaccinations et cetera which is great for a business to do. Throughout the times that I attended for non-scheduled visits I was ALWAYS offered alternatives in treatment and the pros and cons of each if they were applicable, this made some choices easy but in the end some, at least in my case, the hardest decision ever. The sympathy and empathy provided was comforting, it didn't heal any pain but it certainly was great to have a caring team there. On the few occasions that my girl escaped from the yard due to people leaving the gate open when I wasn't home (Australia Post I'm looking in your direction) she always somehow made her way to the vet and subsequently I was called, a true indicator of how great they care for her and other pets. For the dogs 🐶🐶, there's an abundance of liver treats that they hand out to dogs in lieu of the lollipop 🍭 and this is sure to win over any scared pooch. Read Less

We've only been using the Michelton Vet Practice for the last 6 months (new puppies) and we are so happy with the service - Holly, Shane, Emily are the main people we have dealt with and their easy manner, expertise, compassion and humour is a perfect fit for us and our doggy's! I took my dog there for a bump on his head and was charged $94.00 to have it drained , 3 weeks later it was back bigger then ever and was going to be charged all over again by them to have it done. they took no responsibility for their lack of professionalism It was also suggested at the time that he have his teeth done and it was quoted as $600 upwards with no exact amount to be settled on until he was actually being operated on with it being left open that it could cost $800 or more. I took him to my regular vet and it was $570.00 all up. This place is all about the money, I will never go aback and would not recommend them to anyone Read Less

We run a rescue group for dogs and Shane and Holly and the team are wonderful. My foster carers and new dog family have become customers after seeing the great attention and care given to all animals. I can't recommend this practise enough, we ask our carers to travel out of their way just to come here, even when we know there are vets closer. Read Less

The realities of pet ownership are that you will, most certainly, become familiar with time spent in a vet waiting room, in treatment rooms and having your beloved pet cared for by, hopefully, equally caring vets.Having moved to the area, the faithful pooch's care was recently transferred to Mitchelton Vets mostly due the their proximity. They're located on Blackwood Street and with on-site parking there's no need to worry about trying to find a street park.Much like doctors surgery, there's nothing too outwardly different than any other vet surgery and, much like a doctor surgery you hope you never have to spend a lot of time in them. On the two occasions I've taken our dog here, the team have been helpful, on-time and affordable. They'll even send your pet insurance claim on to your provider on your behalf. Read Less
