A friend with a dog recommended this veterinary clinic and I'm so glad she did. I have to travel further than my local clinics, but am happy to do so because Mooloolaba Veterinary Clinic is fantastic - the prices are sooo much more affordable than other vets; Michael clearly loves all the animals he sees (and my dogs love him); and he never tries to get me to spend money on unnecessary treatments or products. A definite thumbs up from me. I tell anyone I know with pets to check out this clinic because I am such a fan. Thank you for looking after my two boys so well. Read Less

My friends dog went in for a nail clip, they clipped a nail way too short and glued her dogs paw I guess to stop it bleeding, but they neglected to tell her about it when she rang to pick him up and again when she actually did pick him up. Got her dog home and the paw bled profusely. She took him back to fix it and all vet staff told her was they 'forgot' to tell her and warn her that might happen. Very poor management. Owners should be told about complications that arise under vet care even if it was a simple procedure. They should have told her they stuffed up and it might bleed. Won't be taking my pets there purely because of my friends experience. Im apalled for her that they didnt tell her what happened. As she said, it wouldnt be such an issue if they had communicated and told her what to do in case it did bleed again because as she said accidents happen - but to not tell her - very poor practice. Edit* 2.2.17 - Response to owner comment. Your response sounds as if you are implying the client wasn't a 'good' client purely because they were upset your practice failed to discharge the pet back into their care without the necessary information of what occurred (while the pet was under your care)and how to treat it if issues arose once the pet was taken home. I know beyond a doubt the clinic was privately contacted about it and there was no response, hence the public review. A clienr trusting a vet practice to tell them of any issues arising while a beloved pet is under the vets care and then been let down, is not an imagined problem. It's a real problem for people who trust vets to be honest and provide adequate follow-up care instructions. Say no to vets who fail to communicate with clients. Read Less

On Sunday I witnessed, along with many other customers picking up and dropping off their pets at a local kennels, atrocious behaviour of a person saying they were from this business (not just using this business name once but 3 times), verbally carrying on at a staff member about their protocols and procedures. Her behaviour in the car park was also shocking and the parting remarks to the staff member of the kennels was nothing short of personal abuse. How discusting of a business person in another business premises was this. Vet was uninterested in the dogs overall health, only the problem at hand. Overcharged for medication, then when I went back to get a repeated they only gave me half as many tablets and charged the same price and said I got it cheap last time. I went home looked the tablets up on line and can get them for under half of what I was charged the first time. They have animals roaming the vet and there will be an animal death there as soon as 1 unrestrained cat and 1 unrestrained dog come together. They had someone cat that had be there overnight just sitting unrestrained on the seats in the waiting area by the door so could of escaped easily and onto a main road too. I wont be back! EDITED! I just rang 3 other local vets to find that Mooloolaba vet hasnt even given my dog half of the things he needs to get better. I am disgusted at there lack of skills and attention and is now seeming that they give half treatments to keep people coming back all the time. I have had animals all of my life and have never been so disgusted by a vet in all of my years. After I finish writing this I am taking my dogs straight to Buderim Veterinary Surgery.Read Less
