Disgusting behaviour from the Vet. I originally chose this vet because their consultation fee was quite cheap compared to most vet’s, but that’s all a con. They did tests I did not know about. And they also did not check with me throughout the visit whether or not I could keep up with the cost’s they were piling on. From mine and friend’s past experiences, vets are supposed to consult what they are doing to your pet along with the charges before they go ahead and do anything. The vet was careful to only tell me half the fee until I got the counter and when I said I don’t have the money to cover the whole fee that day, she was very rude and attempted bullying me (as if I could magically find the money else where). I have taken the list of medication and will be consulting with another vet before I purchase them else where. I understand vets can be costly, but it concerns me that nasty people with no compassion are supposedly ‘looking after’ our pets. The vet I am speaking of had short brown hair and was a bit chubby. I’m not sure what the other staff are like but this one should not be allowed to speak to their clients the way she did. The administration showed more understanding then she did. Read Less

Not nice getting told off for a dog being vaccinated when the shelter we got her from were the ones who did it. Nice way to make customers feel valued. Very rude and unnecessary.

We took our kitten to get desexed and he came back with ringworm. I know this because of the incubation period. He is also an indoor cat and has no contact with other animals. I am told that during the desexing operation, the animals immune system is not as strong and so this may be a reason for him picking it up here. I'm sad that when he had his vaccination there earlier in the year, we weren't asked to vaccinate against ringworm. I understand this may not be a priority, however after speaking to others, their vets have vaccinated their kittens against it. It has taken many months to get rid of the fungus. We took him back to Morayfield vet, to confirm that it was ringworm, and I had to buy creams and a wash to help it. I returned a few days later as it only became worse. I also bought a cone to prevent him cleaning the cream from the sores and scratching and re-opening the sores. His head was completely covered in bloody scabs and the cream just wasn't working. I ended up taking him to a different vet to get a second opinion where we were given medication for him. This seemed to work (as incredibly slow as it was) however it has also taken months of him wearing the cone in order to heal. The hair is VERY slowly regrowing back. It has been incredibly sad (not to mention very expensive) to watch our young pet go through this. I can't stress enough how important it is vaccinate your pet not only for the regular recommended standard vaccines, but also for ringworm! It is a horrible horrible disease that takes a VERY long time to eradicate. Read Less
