This is my newest review about Mackay Veterinary Surgery/ Hospital in West Mackay Nebo Rd. And ...At Mackay Veterinary at Mt. Pleasant also serviced by dr Bill. I had to take 'Mishka',- 9 years old, blue eyed Burmese-cross female cat 😺 to that Surgery, because dr Bill was on the shift there, and I wanted him to exemine my cat, now one else* So, the other day I've noticed that 'Mishka' was licking her back 'parts', drinking lots of water and going to her litter frequently😕😦😯...trying to pass urine, but nothing was happening.😟 I could see that she was 'off' and not herself. She would also hiss at me and other cats, as well she would lay down frequently. So I rang Vet on Nebo Rd to arrange an appt. With Dr Bill, but unfortunatelly he was working at Mt. Pleasant Veterinary that day. I packed 'Mishka' into her cage and went to Mt.Pleasant. All the way there, I had to put up and listen to poor 'Mishka's' whinges, meowing, and unsuccessful tries to escape. A bloody 'Opera House' in my car!😲🤤🙀. When 'Mishka' was to be examined by Dr Bill, she simply shut herself up, stopped all the 🐂💩😉, and let him to do what it was required to diagnose her problems. An urine infection. 'Mishka' was given painkiller injection. Dr Bill nearly prescribed her antibiotic in tablets, but I opposed it. There wasn't any possible way that 'Mishka' would take them orally hey!🤕 She would try all the tricks possible. Even if she was wrapped up in a towel up to her neck, (I've experienced that before*😲🤤) She would hiss at me, try to free herself, scratch me if she could reach me, hiss at me, and she would keep her mouth shut. Plus- she would hate me for the rest of my life!😦😰 So I politely asked dr Bill to please give 'Mishka' an antibiotic in injection too. After paying a not so hefty bill as I was expecting*☺ /Thank you dr Bill!😊😁😎/ (Everybody knows these days how expensive visits to vet's can be!*) I took 'Mishka' back home happy that she recieved a proper treatment, and that it didn't cost me a fortune☺. But then... all the way in the car 'Mishka' was screaming her lungs out a g a i n at me, whinging about me for being so 'cruel' to her by taking her to vet?!😲😱 Oh boy! It was a concert alright. I let her out at home and she quickly went to her litter. It must be working I thought* (painkiller and antibiotic), cos she was in much better mood and condition!😊 I am very gratefull to dr Bill and his team at both: Mt. Pleasant Veterinary Surgery, and Mackay Veterinary Hospital on Nebo Rd. West Mackay. Fantastic services again. Thumbs up!☺😎👍👌👏 The best Vet in town, my word. Also, I take 'Mishka' to Vet on Nebo Rd. Every year before Summer, for a 'Great Shave'!🤗😼 Unfortunatelly, after trying hard a few times to shave her very knotted, matted hair* (she won't let me to groom her with the brush...😞 I just gave up.
