Very poor communication. Was told conflicting information from one visit to the next. I took a 1/2 day off work as per instructions but it turned into a full day. Visited for an x-ray which required anesthetic. Waited in a room with my dog for over 45 minutes and no one came to check or give instructions. Turns out they were waiting on me to come out to ask - wasted time. This then further delayed my 'spot' in the line. Very frustrating.

Best vet clinic on the coast. I have been taking our dogs, cats and birds here for over 10 years. They go above and beyond to provide love, care and support to our pets and the family. Very competent and knowledgeable staff. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Took our cat in for a second opinion. Cat has been coughing uncontrollably for no apparent reason. Vet did no physical examination. Vet did not get blood test or x-rays from previous vet, done less than a year ago. Vet stood there and speculated about the animal's condition, based on current treatment. That's pretty much the opposite of why we went there.
These guys are amateurs, at best.

They say they treat birds!!
Bird owners beware definitely no AVIAN VET here!!
Would give zero stars if I could, disgusted with the treatment of my cockatiel!

Was recommended this vet recently by another dog owner and I'm very glad I went there! Great service on the phone and in the clinic by the lovely nurses out the front and then a professional service given by the vet. My puppy feels right at home.

on a very sad day for me I was treated with dignity and the utmost care and thoughtfulness. My baby was looked after with the care he deserved and the vet was beautiful.I received a touching handwritten card in the mail and I am extremely grateful I took my boy there. This place feels country town and nothing like the vet chains I have been to previously. THANK YOU HINTERLAND VET SURGERY💖

Over the past 10+ years both our feline babies have had many trips to Hinterland Veterinary Surgery. For emergencies, treatments and annual check ups including their F4 Vaccines. Although a small surgery, they can get very busy, which has to be a good sign. Management and staff are knowledgeable, polite and very caring toward the animals and also the owners. The staff seem to work very efficiently when under pressure. The surgery is kept very clean and tidy at all times. Also, there's plenty of car parking straight across the road with no time limit. We highly recommend this Veterinary clinic. Special thanks to Ross, Anna and the team from Monte and Buttercup. >

I have been coming here for years. The staff here are divine. I cannot recommend highly enough. Old fashioned owned and operated vet. Nothing like the chains who don't care about your animal.

I have been going to Hinterland Veterinary Surgery for many years. I have always found the vets and nursing staff to be extremely thorough, attentive, friendly & caring to both animals and their owners. I read the review posted 5 months ago and had to write a review letting people know that if they contact Hinterland Vets I assure them that their experience will be the best they will ever have and their pet will be extremely well looked after by vets that actually care about the animals.

We took our 15 year old rotti to Hinterland Vet today and were totally impressed with the staff and service. Thank you to Lucy and Anna who took such interest and great care of our boy Bronson. They are informative and very affordable, we will definitely be recommending you to every pet owner we know

Very poor communication. Was told conflicting information from one visit to the next. I took a 1/2 day off work as per instructions but it turned into a full day. Visited for an x-ray which required anesthetic. Waited in a room with my dog for over 45 minutes and no one came to check or give instructions. Turns out they were waiting on me to come out to ask - wasted time. This then further delayed my 'spot' in the line. Very frustrating.

Best vet clinic on the coast. I have been taking our dogs, cats and birds here for over 10 years. They go above and beyond to provide love, care and support to our pets and the family. Very competent and knowledgeable staff. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Took our cat in for a second opinion. Cat has been coughing uncontrollably for no apparent reason. Vet did no physical examination. Vet did not get blood test or x-rays from previous vet, done less than a year ago. Vet stood there and speculated about the animal's condition, based on current treatment. That's pretty much the opposite of why we went there.
These guys are amateurs, at best.

Over the past 10+ years both our feline babies have had many trips to Hinterland Veterinary Surgery. For emergencies, treatments and annual check ups including their F4 Vaccines. Although a small surgery, they can get very busy, which has to be a good sign. Management and staff are knowledgeable, polite and very caring toward the animals and also the owners.
