Feeling a bit disappointed , we have been going to Park Ridge animal Hostpital for more then 12 years. Always very happy and grateful with the great service we have received for our pooches over the years. We recently lost our groomer , who attended our home once every 6 weeks as she was starting a family . We decided to go to Park Ridge animal hospital to have our grooming done there as we felt we had built the great relationship up there over the 12 years.We always received a text message 24 hours out to say they were due for grooming the next day.. This time it was 7 days then two days, I donβt know what has gone wrong but it seems totally unorganised .. when we got there we were told appt was Thursday not Wednesday , sorry my bad totally confused due to different texts coming through, only to be told they have changed the way they did it before but will be changing it back. I was grateful they still did our babies ,however we were told one of our dogs was 200 grams heavier then last visit and it would be 10 dollars more , our dog is a Shi Tzu - Maltese and the other is a very sml poodle . I was advised 75.00 for one and 65.00 for the other, I questioned it as to why is there a difference compared to 5 weeks ago. I was told itβs because Barney is heavier then last visit. I would of thought with one being such a sml dog and the other being bigger it would even out.. however we sorted it and ageed 65.00 each, my husband went to collect our babies and was told Barney was 75.00, even after it was sorted. He felt so embarrassed at the front desk that he had to question it, also he felt as though they had to call me to confirm price as this young lady who was all over the conversation in the am made him feel... Money was never the issue here we felt as though the younger lady at the desk was trying to rule over a staff memeber who ,has always been very professional, when we have been there and it certainly did not look good when, I was there or my husband some hours later when, the same staff member served him and again felt that she had to raise the issue again.. We are extremely disappointed and wonβt be using the services again of the grooming side of the clinic.. We are not close to the clinic, so driving our pooches there was never an issue as we felt we built up the great relationship and knew they were always safe. The people at the front desk are a crucial part of any business , just very disappointed to how we were made to feel on two seperate occasions yesterday by the same staff member. I thank the lovely lady Sherry who, was very understanding in the am and has always been great to deal with over the years
since writing this review Nigel the owner has called me and Iβm very grateful he did . Thank you Nigel we appreciate the call. However we have decided not to use the grooming side again and this way it avoids any misconception or confusion.. I have referred many people to park Ridge animal hospital and like ourselves extremely happy with the service to date RE the veterinary side.. Read Less
