Feeling a bit disappointed , we have been going to Park Ridge animal Hostpital for more then 12 years. Always very happy and grateful with the great service we have received for our pooches over the years. We recently lost our groomer , who attended our home once every 6 weeks as she was starting a family . We decided to go to Park Ridge animal hospital to have our grooming done there as we felt we had built the great relationship up there over the 12 years.We always received a text message 24 hours out to say they were due for grooming the next day.. This time it was 7 days then two days, I don’t know what has gone wrong but it seems totally unorganised .. when we got there we were told appt was Thursday not Wednesday , sorry my bad totally confused due to different texts coming through, only to be told they have changed the way they did it before but will be changing it back. I was grateful they still did our babies ,however we were told one of our dogs was 200 grams heavier then last visit and it would be 10 dollars more , our dog is a Shi Tzu - Maltese and the other is a very sml poodle . I was advised 75.00 for one and 65.00 for the other, I questioned it as to why is there a difference compared to 5 weeks ago. I was told it’s because Barney is heavier then last visit. I would of thought with one being such a sml dog and the other being bigger it would even out.. however we sorted it and ageed 65.00 each, my husband went to collect our babies and was told Barney was 75.00, even after it was sorted. He felt so embarrassed at the front desk that he had to question it, also he felt as though they had to call me to confirm price as this young lady who was all over the conversation in the am made him feel... Money was never the issue here we felt as though the younger lady at the desk was trying to rule over a staff memeber who ,has always been very professional, when we have been there and it certainly did not look good when, I was there or my husband some hours later when, the same staff member served him and again felt that she had to raise the issue again.. We are extremely disappointed and won’t be using the services again of the grooming side of the clinic.. We are not close to the clinic, so driving our pooches there was never an issue as we felt we built up the great relationship and knew they were always safe. The people at the front desk are a crucial part of any business , just very disappointed to how we were made to feel on two seperate occasions yesterday by the same staff member. I thank the lovely lady Sherry who, was very understanding in the am and has always been great to deal with over the years since writing this review Nigel the owner has called me and I’m very grateful he did . Thank you Nigel we appreciate the call. However we have decided not to use the grooming side again and this way it avoids any misconception or confusion.. These guys are outstanding! Our friend who has quite a serious emergency (it's happening as I'm writing this) was told by a vet in Yarrabilba that she would have to wait until 9:30 in order for her small-medium size dog to be seen (she rang around 8) which means the poor thing would have been suffering far longer than needed in such an emergency. We told her to ring these guys and she was told to bring him in immediately! That's right, he's receiving medical treatment before the other vet WOULD (not could) look at him. Our dog when we took him a couple weeks ago was known by name to all the staff when I rang up the next day for an alternate matter. The fact that the owner has responded to practically every review on here, just goes to show you that the entire practice really cares about you and your pet. Nice vets and staff, very helpful and friendly. But the waiting times really need to be cut down. I arrived 30 minutes a go for my appointment and wrote this review. Whilst still waiting to see the vet. This never used to be the case and it seems to be a longer wait time every time we come. If they fix this, it would be a solid 5. Read Less

I've visited this hospital twice now and Both vets I've seen have been lovely. But when I called to reschedule an appointment that I never actually booked, (reception booked for me without consulting) Joanne on the phone was nothing but a rude c##t. I had an appointment this morning at 9:15am, to which I arrived at 9am. My dog was not seen until 10am! The Vet we had was lovely and helpful and the staff were great but waiting 45mins after our scheduled appointment was disappointing. I had another appointment to go to which I had to cancel. Further to this, I was given 7days of tablets to clear my dogs once off grass rash and the total just for the tablets was $80!!! That's a joke! Not a happy customer this time around. Read Less

Would just like to thank the staff at Park Ridge for their help today especially mentioning Dr Sasha. I took my German Shepherd pup with a limp in her front leg. Sasha was great, examined her and suggested x-rays to ensure it wasnt Dysplasia in her elbow. She went above and beyond for our girl including x-rays on both her hips and elbows and sending them off to a specialist. I dropped her off around 10am and returned at 415pm. She showed us all the x-rays and was thorough in her x-rays and explanation. It was great to see a vet that cared for our girl as much as us.Read Less

Well New Year's Day and my beloved Akita, Flynn couldn't stand up. Dr Jane was on duty and did a truly marvellous job of reassuring both me and my boy. Treatment is ongoing but I just wanted to say, massive thanks! Dr Jane has a special way with dogs. Flynn can be very difficult and wary of strangers, but he gave Dr Jane full approval and I trust his judgement implicitly. Read Less

Dr Michelle was very nice and calm and explained things well. Only downside was the price for something that was described as sounding very basic but when I picked up my girl wearing her cute bandanna and the Xmas tree painted on her bandage I was just happy she was ok and looked content. We have been visiting the Park Ridge Animal Hospital for many years and every single time the care given to our pet has been outstanding. Bella has had many operations during this time, her latest one being yesterday, and the compassion and caring from the reception staff all the way through to her attending Veterinarian has always been wonderful. PR Animal Hospital are wonderful, caring and excellent vets. They have top gear, wonderful staff from the vets to the reception ladies. Our 10 year old Weimaraner , Chookie, had serious pancreatitis, liver infection and the staff saved her and the follow up tests and treatment has been wonderful and thorough. They kept on searching to find the cause of her illness. They fully explained every test and treatment along the way. Huge thanks to Dr Sheena and Dr Sascha. Wouldnt use anyone else on the southside. Cannot thank the staff enough for their wonderful loving care of our long term foster dog Zoe. From her initial appointment right through until we had to say goodbye they were so kind and compassionate and nothing was too big or too small to help us with. 5 weeks ago we lost our Beautiful babies horrifically in a tragic accident, the nurses at Park Ridge animal hospital were so beautiful in helping us after driving all the way from morayfield with our babies to bury them at our property these ladies were so strong and still held their heads high walking my babies out with one each in their hands 4 nurses to 4 dogs after preparing our babies. this was the worst day of my life and these ladies helped us, i cannot imagine what you went through seeing them as I didn't but we would love to thank you girls so much from the bottom of our hearts for what yous did! I hope this photo helps!!!!! you guys have the toughest job in the world sometimes and yous are amazing! And omg so so soo strong! A week after we then got flowers delivered to our door, from the family at park ridge animal hospital, the feeling I got was so overwhelming we thank you guys so much! I had to get my elderly cat put down tonight.  They met us with compassion that had me in tears and put us in an exam room right away so we could spend some time saying goodbye to Rhubarb before he was put down.They had a blanket on top of the stainless steel table so that we wouldn't have to put Rhubarb down on a cold surface and everyone was really sweet and comforting as they explained the procedure to all of us.  They took Rhubarb out the back to put the catheter in as I'm betting that would have been hard due to his major anemia and brought him back to us so we could say goodbye.They give you the option to take home your pet or leave it with them afterwards.
