My daughter and I found a lost dog that was literally on Hanford Rd, Zillmere. We quickly parked in the side street and found him again in the park opposite the school. We got his trust and led him to our car, my daughter had to carry him into the car, he climbed all over us in the front seat, we had no choice but to leave him where he was because he was so scared and all he wanted was to be close to us so I hugged him all the way to Stafford QVS. When we were there my daughter walked him half way to the counter and he wouldn't go any further, when I told the nurse that we were there after speaking to her earlier on the phone, she quickly put the lead around his neck and tried to drag him when he was clearly traumatized, I told her not to do that, my daughter and I coaxed him further, then she struggled with him trying to put him behind the counter at the same time explaining that when he is taken through the doors it is their responsibility and we will have to sign a waiver form. She brought him behind the desk at the same time looking for the form he was clearly distressed, he was struggling to get to us but ended up climbing the filing cabinet and knocking a few items all over the floor, he looked at my daughter with a look that just broke our hearts. While my daughter was completing the form another nurse came in to hold him while the first nurse scanned him, I had to ask her if he was micro chipped and she said he was, I was so relieved but wasn't sure if she said that to get rid of us. We left there feeling like we did the wrong thing by him, he trusted us and we betrayed him! The vet nurse was not king or gentle or even tried to gain his trust, in fact she didn't have the time for him at all. The next day I called to see if the owner had taken him home ,we were so worried about him. The girl who answered was new and had to find out if she was allowed to give out that information, and course the answer was NO and that was it, no explanation as to why, they made me feel like a criminal. We never even new his name. As we found him on Sunday all vets but the specialist/Emergency vets were closed, we had a choice of Albany Creek or Stafford QVS, we picked the wrong one. I've had experiences with both and all I can say is I have had my worst experiences at QVS including this one. Read Less
