I've had a lot of experiences with Northside Vets, which has included injured wild life. They always accept the wild life emergencies with open arms, even if it is 15 mins before closing time! My mother, sister and myself all bring our pets to Northside Vets, as they are always so lovely and seem to be just as in love with our pets as we are (which means a lot, as they're not just pets, they're our family.) I have even phoned up on occasion and have spoken directly to a vet, when they didn't even know I was a loyal customer and given free advice. Even though they are a smidge more expensive than other vets, I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else! As my grandmother used to say, you can't put a price on great service! Read Less

I had the $75 dollars which they said I would need , they cancelled my dogs op and asked me to leave as I was crying due to this cancer tumour hanging of my fur babies inner eye lid which was bleeding large amounts all over there floor. Its been a long time since I've felt the need to complain about anything but, what i experienced at this vet has certainly caused my family and i real disgust. My cat became ill with a urinary track blockage, which he has had a number of times. We have had him treated at a couple of vets for this ( 5 times in total) so know the process/cost very well. Due to this we have always tried to fined a vet who balances cost and care, which we found at a vets surgery in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. This vet is a good hours drive from where we live but is worth the hours drive every time. In this instance due to the nature of the blockage we decided we couldn't afford the time t drive the hour up, so we opted to take our cat back to Northside Vet Care understanding it would be more expensive than the Caloundra vet. Once i was seen i was quoted $1000 - $1500 for my cat to stay in for 2 nights on fluid, pain meds, anti bionics as well as a catheter inserted under aesthetic. When the vet printed off the quote she wrote on the quote the higher amount of $1500, which she asked me to sign as confirmation of acceptance to pay up to that amount.I left our cat there and looked forward to the update over the coming days. After 2 days was up we had the call to let us know he was ok to be picked up. The bill came to $1300. I took down our last bill from the Caloundra vet to compare pricing, as the same procedure for the same length of time only came to $780! Yes thats right a difference of nearly $600. I was confused as to how there could be such a difference and asked the polite lady at reception to printed off an itemised bill so i could go over it before paying. The first line on the bill was anaesthetic which came to $250, to fit a catheter.. Comparing it to the bill from Caloundra they came to $138. I was offered a call from the Manager on Monday(i was there on Sunday).....it is now Friday night and no call, what a surprise. RING AROUND PEOPLE, AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS! Read Less

This week we were forced to say a sad farewell to our treasured family cat Hendrix after 12 years, and a long fight with a nasty tumor. It was a Sunday, and even though he was in awful pain and very sick, we had been told by one vet that they couldn't see him until Tuesday, and another that it would cost us over $200 to send him to sleep. Veterinary nurse Rose took a tearful, desperate phone call from us, and went out of her way on a booked out day to work out a way to help us. Her professional and genuinely caring demeanor was exactly what we needed. The care given to us and our little cat by Rose and Dr Kayo is something we will always be grateful for. A few days later we received a hand written card expressing their sympathy at our loss. Thank you so much for caring about us, and looking after us when we felt hopeless.Read Less

We had a close call with this clinic.  We took our cat there who had symptoms of twitching and excessive licking.  We were told that he was no good as a pet, and we should have him put down.  Luckily we sought a second opinion and found out that he had a perfectly treatable condition, and is now doing fine.  I was flabbergasted at the inept and lack of caring attitude of the vet we initially saw at Northside Vet Care, and we would never go there again.  I got the impression that they didn't even like animals. We've been taking our 7-1/2 yo Fox Terrier X named Buddy to Northside Vet Care since he was a puppy. Every experience with this vet clinic has been really good. We've had two major trauma cases for Buddy treated with great sensitivity and care, plus his general vet checks and vaccinations. I would personally recommend this clinic to anyone who loves their pet, who wants great service, their prices are really, really reasonable, and they don't push products or services that your pet (and your pocket!) don't need. If you are looking for good quality pet care at an affordable price than Northside Vet Care is for you.  Formally The Affordable Vet, this clinic offers exceptional service at a significantly lower cost than most other clinics in the area.  I take my puppy dog here for her annual vaccination, it costs $70.00.  I have paid up to $140.00 at other clinics over the years, which is double the price.  The quality of service is by no means inferior to any other vet I have visited, in fact this is one of the best vets I have used over the years which is why I have been a loyal customer now for over three years.  The clinic, in addition to veterinary care, offers a variety of other services including puppy pre-school, grooming services, health clinics and $5 hydro-baths on weekends, they also have a pet taxi available for house calls - so cute! We called this Vet clinic first thing in the morning in a sad state, in order to arrange for euthanasia for our dog. At all times we were treated with care and consideration. A kindly vet and nurse came to our home and performed their duty with kindness and sensitivity, sending our little guy on his way quietly and without fuss. We are very appreciative of the service offered to us. We certainly recommend Northside Vet Care.

Today we got our sausage dog Sambal discharged after 3 days of being admitted. I have been looking for a good, caring, friendly vet team. The were very loving and i could not fault them in any way. Im pretty sure my snag spend more times in nurses arms then he did in his cage. I have been for 4 other Brisbane Vets and have yet to repeat visit except for these guys! An extra special thank you to Jenna for the special love you gave him, and to Caitlin for a bright up beat personality makes things less stressful when you know you have people like you looking after our babies. I will be recommending you to everyone! Thanks Vee and Mikie Read Less

All positives from our viewpoint! Read Less
