Very knowledgeable and experienced vet, Dr Owen Brown has a very pragmatic way of running his clinic, with no appointments, just first-in-first-served basis. He manages to keep consultation fees very low, which is extremely rare these days, providing great service to the community.
When customers go there with their expensive pooches, they should have done their research prior, so they'd know how the clinic operates and wouldn't whinge afterwards.

Appalling experience. Owen had a very arrogant, patronizing, was rushed, pushy and was dismissive of all legitimate concerns. He become angered when I showed him blood results that proved he was incorrect . He had a very outdated and poor knowledge of canines. The clinic has next to no management and customers must arrive at random and wait in line on a "first in first serve basis" within obscure hours, meanwhile there are zero safe work practices for disease control in place and pets are left to wait around in open soil that could very well be contaminated with pathogens from previous sick animals. To put the lack of safe practice into perspective there are stagnant, algae filled pools of water right next to the office door! Any vet with a pinch of knowledge knows stagnant water breeds mosquitoes and larva which is the main cause of heartworm.
If you love your pet please pay the extra and take them anywhere else.

I am so impressed with this vet! After I had a not so good experience with no outcome at another vet, Owen Brown, impressed us! He thoroughly checked our cat, listened well, treated her and most of all explained everything to us. As we left, we knew what was going on and had to be done. No question asked is too much for this vet, his humor is just another bonus, so are his prices and the way he handled our sick cat just shows what a great vet he is.... He is our vet to go to for good now. Our cat showed instant response to his treatment and we couldn't be happier. Thanks Owen!

I have been taking my cat and dog to Owen Brown for over 8 years He is a no nonsense Vet who gives it to you straight. I read what the lady with the cat went through and I am sorry to hear this happened. I trust Dr Brown with my pets and what so many others have said. He is there for the animals not the money. If your pet has Specialist needs and you are wealthy it probably is best to take yours to the fancy surgeries with all the bells and whistles. We are all human and a mistake by any physician is possible. I was misdiagnosed by a professor for over 5 years. I finally worked out He wasn't right for me and got a second opinion. He cost me my health and could have halted the spread of my disease. (A PROFESSOR) After all these years I have only seen one negative comment about Dr Brown and it is a shame but glad kitty is ok.
I am going tomorrow. My boy is having heart problems so I will see where this journey takes us.🐶

Unfortunately my experience with this vet was horrible. I took my cat in due to a sore on the back of his neck that after trying everything over 2 years, nothing had cleared it up. My 14yr old cat has bad arthritis also and the product I had been using for it, which worked great, this vet said was crap, I believed him and threw away the expensive product, only to have my cats arthritis begin to deteriorate greatly and his pain return over the next few weeks. The sore on his neck, which the vet aggressively pulled the scab off, for no reason, as it just grew back and he had no answer or solution for the sore other than giving him female hormones, antibiotics and a steroid inj He said my cat had slight swollen kidneys, by feel, and reccomemded an expensive urinary prescription biscuit, which he failed to tell me, was only to be used for a short time. My cat began to drink and pee excessively all over my house, which was very distressing for him and myself. My cat was never the same after 2 visits to this place. Jump forward 7 months, I have had my cat to another vet, and spoken to 2 others, and my cat has Diabetes, his blood work came back completely clear, so no swollen kidneys and no need for the special diet actually designed for bladder, not kidneys. My cat is back on his natural arthritus meds, as reccomended by 2 different vets, and is showing improvement again. The sore on his neck has not cleared up due to his diabetes but will now he is having insulin. Pulling the scab off was nothing short of cruel and unnecessary, along with everything within the 2 visits. An absolute costly nightmare with no actual answers to hos health.

The price is drastically lower than others. Even if you have to travel to get to him it’s is totally worth it. Also he has taken all of my after hours calls and helped me when things were critical on days off at no extra charge. He is in it for the animals.

Been taking our dogs and cats to Owen for years. Best vet, by far, on the Coast. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Very helpful and honest. Reasonable prices compared to the ridiculous prices of other vets.

Owen is an amazing vet. He takes the time to explain everything simply and clearly, is full of wisdom from years of experience and has the ability to help me understand exactly what is going on with my pet and how i can take responsibility and do my part to support and care for my pet. Yes he does speak in very short clipped sentences and one could mistake this for being abrupt however this from my understanding is simply his way of having a no nonsense expression and approach which is appreciated. He is fully able to connect to my dog and all animals he treats. His fees are reasonable and he is a very honest man. Feel blessed my neighbour told me about him.

He's an excellent vet who also charges very reasonable prices, which is really great to see.

Very knowledgeable and experienced vet, Dr Owen Brown has a very pragmatic way of running his clinic, with no appointments, just first-in-first-served basis. He manages to keep consultation fees very low, which is extremely rare these days, providing great service to the community.

He become angered when I showed him blood results that proved he was incorrect . He had a very outdated and poor knowledge of canines. I am so impressed with this vet! After I had a not so good experience with no outcome at another vet, Owen Brown, impressed us! He thoroughly checked our cat, listened well, treated her and most of all explained everything to us. As we left, we knew what was going on and had to be done. Unfortunately my experience with this vet was horrible. I took my cat in due to a sore on the back of his neck that after trying everything over 2 years, nothing had cleared it up. My 14yr old cat has bad arthritis also and the product I had been using for it, which worked great, this vet said was crap, I believed him and threw away the expensive product, only to have my cats arthritis begin to deteriorate greatly and his pain return over the next few weeks. Owen is an amazing vet. He takes the time to explain everything simply and clearly, is full of wisdom from years of experience and has the ability to help me understand exactly what is going on with my pet and how i can take responsibility and do my part to support and care for my pet. Yes he does speak in very short clipped sentences and one could mistake this for being abrupt however this from my understanding is simply his way of having a no nonsense expression and approach which is appreciated. He is fully able to connect to my dog and all animals he treats. His fees are reasonable and he is a very honest man. Feel blessed my neighbour told me about him.

He's an excellent vet who also charges very reasonable prices, which is really great to see.
I wouldn't take my pets to anyone else.
