I have two cats. The male has a fair amount of health issues. The breed is tricky so I am lucky to have found this clinic.
Megan has been incridble from the start. It is amazing to have a vet who is so passionate about their job. She has always taken the time to ensure I understand my breed and how to keep them safe. She always fits Archie in when he has a sudden problem (which feels like every second week) even if she is flat out. She takes the time to translate the medical language so that I can understand what is happening with my fluff ball. The staff are friendly and professional. The prices are fantastic.
I cannot sing their praises enough.

The receptionist needs some serious customer service training. You are the first person of contact that people have when they are anxiously calling about their pets and rushing people and making them feel stupid does not help. It's a pity that people are steering away from this business because of the receptionists lack of patience and empathy, especially when there are positive reviews in regards to the vets. Too bad I won't get to experience this as that single phone call quickly had me searching for a different vet. A friendly demeanour can go a long way.

Called in to enquiry about a type of insulin they use for diabetic cats. The receptionist put me through to Megan who spoke down to me and over me and I had to stop her in her monologue a couple of times to get a word in. She refused to answer my question trying to throw big words like it is illegal etc. She was making it sound like they were a big hospital and I needed a referral to get my pet treated there. When I probed, she said that I needed to make an appointment as they can treat my pet. There is no way I will use a vet that will treat me with such disrespect like I do not understand anything and she knows everything. She certainly was not trying to help a customer. It was all about $$$.

Megan is amazing! She genuinely loves all animals in her care and makes the owners feel relaxed and reassured. Super personable and approachable, Megan has extensive knowledge and has really helped educate us to be better pet owners. From puppy school right up to his recent untimely death, we have valued Megan's compassion, intelligence, and professionalism as she cared for our dog. Her advice and words of wisdom have been invaluable to us and we cannot rave about her enough!

When I brought a puppy home from the RSPCA I took her to my local vet immediately. I needed to get her some injections, and while I was there I wanted to get some advice about training. I met with Dr Cusack. She gave me a good first impression- she started singing 'Sussudio'- the song my dog is named after. When I asked about tips on training, I was told that I should enrol Sussudio into puppy training school. Explaining that I had limited funds, and again asking for some home-grown advice, she simply continued on the line of "puppy school really is the best training a dog can get". I didn't realise that vets were salespeople. In later visits to the vet, I found Dr Cusack to be condescending toward pet owners. She's highly technical in her explanations, which yes, does make me think that she knows her stuff, but if she can't deliver her point in terms understandable to those without a veterinary degree, what's the use? There only so many times you want to ask "can you dumb it down a little?"Sure, I would entrust my animal into the care of West End Vet, I'm not at all saying there are issues with incompetence. Dr Cusack and her staff are excellent with animals. You might just find yourself thinking that they're not so good with their human companions.

My dog absolutely loves Meegan, can’t wait to get inside to see her. Her compassion for the care of animals is unwavering and can be very direct but I like that about her no nonsense and get to the point. We have been with her for 15 years and have no complaints about anything.

Megan has been incridble from the start. It is amazing to have a vet who is so passionate about their job. She has always taken the time to ensure I understand my breed and how to keep them safe. The receptionist put me through to Megan who spoke down to me and over me and I had to stop her in her monologue a couple of times to get a word in. She refused to answer my question trying to throw big words like it is illegal etc. She was making it sound like they were a big hospital and I needed a referral to get my pet treated there.
