My staffy had breathing problems and was overheated,my appointment was at the end of the day so the vet advised me to take her home and hose her down to cool her off.because she was dying imo,i took her to the emergency vet on anzac hwy.who advised me that them not stabilising dog and cooling off with the hose were deffinately wrong.unfortunately care more about getting you out on time,than they do about your animal.bad experience overall unfortunately. Used to be a five-star practice, however after my experience with my granddaughter and her pet last Tuesday I would NEVER recommend them. A nurse that I have not seen before was rude, loud, and spoke over me while I was speaking to Tori (who has been there forever and has always treated me very kindly). we have had our dog visiting this clinic for 13 years ,in that time he has had 6 ear operations at approx. $500-700 per operation , the last being in February 2017 , I rang to get another bottle of ointment for his ear to prevent his ear being scratched too much & the clinic refuses to allow me to buy another bottle because they want to charge a consult fee .It is disgraceful that the clinic is so desperate for money that they can't just look at the record of my dog & allow me to buy this preventive medicine !!! This is the best vet service we have ever been to. They saved our dog's life with a blood transfusion from one of their own dogs. They persisted until they found out what was wrong and she is now a very happy dog, albeit in her later years. Importantly they have never tried to sell us anything unnecessary for our pet, in fact they will always give us options. I trust our vet, Brian, without constraint and he trusts that we know our pet so listens and gives advice based on what we have said. Dr Emma and Dr Anna are pretty good vets, they are the only vets my dog will actually let near him without freaking out. The receptionist are always really helpful and nice. But they do have a male vet who was extremely rude to me and my dog (I left in tears) and also he cut open my friends dogs wrong leg! I would definitely ask Not to be given him again. He is the only reason I'd ever not recommend brighton vets. So yeah if you go there ask for either Emma or Dr Anna. I would highly recommend them and so would my super anxious dog. Read Less

John Calder is a very knowledgeable man and went above and beyond to find out how he can help my beloved turtle Spike. I couldn't have felt more comfortable that he knew how to help him. We see Dr Anna Potts who has offered great, affordable treatment options for my dog's anxiety and my other dog's dry eye issues.
