General Info
Brighton Veterinary Hospital commenced servicing the local and surrounding areas, as a clinic, in 1974 under Dr Gerry Deen’s tutelage. It evolved into its current purpose built residence in 1988. The facility then became the second ASAVA accredited Hospital in SA.
Over the years our staff and level of service has expanded to meet increasing client demand. However our focus has been to continue to offer a family orientated, professional and caring level of service to our clients and of course their pets. One of the enjoyable occurrences is to be now servicing the grandchildren of original clients that we were seeing in the 1980’s.
Brighton Veterinary Hospital is well equipped both in staff and instrumentation to provide increased levels of care and service to all manner of pets. Our highly trained and caring staff at BVH hopes to continue to provide quality and affordable service into the future…

My staffy had breathing problems and was overheated,my appointment was at the end of the day so the vet advised me to take her home and hose her down to cool her off.because she was dying imo,i took her to the emergency vet on anzac hwy.who advised me that them not stabilising dog and cooling off with the hose were deffinately wrong.unfortunately care more about getting you out on time,than they do about your animal.bad experience overall unfortunately.

I have been attending this clinic for over 30 years. I have never come across more caring & supportive network of vets & their nurses than at this clinic. They were really supportive awhen I lost my dog of 17 years, a sympathy card & flowers plus a couple of phone calls to see how I was coping is the above & beyond kind of attitude that I love about these guys!

Used to be a five-star practice, however after my experience with my granddaughter and her pet last Tuesday I would NEVER recommend them. A nurse that I have not seen before was rude, loud, and spoke over me while I was speaking to Tori (who has been there forever and has always treated me very kindly). I felt like I wasn't being heard and was there to support my granddaughter, not feel belittled.

we have had our dog visiting this clinic for 13 years ,in that time he has had 6 ear operations at approx. $500-700 per operation , the last being in February 2017 , I rang to get another bottle of ointment for his ear to prevent his ear being scratched too much & the clinic refuses to allow me to buy another bottle because they want to charge a consult fee .It is disgraceful that the clinic is so desperate for money that they can't just look at the record of my dog & allow me to buy this preventive medicine !!!

Best vets I've ever encountered. My cat is a very nervous animal, but they worked really well with her. they're all very knowledgeable and my kitty came out a much healthier animal.

Just took in a sick wild animal, but was totally impressed by what I saw: a sign explaining that if a candle on the front counter is lit, a family is saying goodbye to a beloved pet and to be mindful and respectful whilst waiting. So thoughtful and a great idea.

This is the best vet service we have ever been to. They saved our dog's life with a blood transfusion from one of their own dogs. They persisted until they found out what was wrong and she is now a very happy dog, albeit in her later years. Importantly they have never tried to sell us anything unnecessary for our pet, in fact they will always give us options. I trust our vet, Brian, without constraint and he trusts that we know our pet so listens and gives advice based on what we have said. Thank you so much Brighton Veterinary Hospital for caring so much about our pet.

Dr Emma and Dr Anna are pretty good vets, they are the only vets my dog will actually let near him without freaking out. The receptionist are always really helpful and nice. But they do have a male vet who was extremely rude to me and my dog (I left in tears) and also he cut open my friends dogs wrong leg! I would definitely ask Not to be given him again. He is the only reason I'd ever not recommend brighton vets. So yeah if you go there ask for either Emma or Dr Anna. I would highly recommend them and so would my super anxious dog.

Great service, happy to fit you in when needed and good with all animals!!! I have been using this veterinary practice for my dog for years so when my turtle became really sick I knew straight where to go. John Calder is a very knowledgeable man and went above and beyond to find out how he can help my beloved turtle Spike. I couldn't have felt more comfortable that he knew how to help him. I know not all veterinary practices can specialise in everything so I would completley recommend Brighton vets to not only help your fury friend but your beloved turtle as well!

I've been to a lot of vets, and am so glad I finally tried this one. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. We see Dr Anna Potts who has offered great, affordable treatment options for my dog's anxiety and my other dog's dry eye issues. Consultation and vaccination rates also seem to be more affordable than the other vets I've used. Thanks Brighton Vet!

I have been attending this clinic for over 30 years. I have never come across more caring & supportive network of vets & their nurses than at this clinic. This is the best vet service we have ever been to. They saved our dog's life with a blood transfusion from one of their own dogs. They persisted until they found out what was wrong and she is now a very happy dog, albeit in her later years. Dr Emma and Dr Anna are pretty good vets, they are the only vets my dog will actually let near him without freaking out. The receptionist are always really helpful and nice. But they do have a male vet who was extremely rude to me and my dog (I left in tears) and also he cut open my friends dogs wrong leg! I would definitely ask Not to be given him again. I have been using this veterinary practice for my dog for years so when my turtle became really sick I knew straight where to go.
