Encounter Bay Veterinary Clinic is a family owned Practice run for a number of years by husband & Wife Team Shaun O'Mahoney and Eleanor Gomersall.
The practice is a highly equipped purpose built practice offering the best care for your pets. We aim to offer the best possible advice for your pets’ health, in a friendly welcoming environment.
As well as a full range of small animal medicine and surgery, both Shaun and Eleanor have spent some years working in emergency and critical care.
Shaun has spent a number of years working particularly with birds, and exotic pets. As such Encounter Bay Veterinary Clinic is the ideal practice to help with all your pets.
Our friendly staff are always happy to offer advice on all aspects of Veterinary care and Pet health.
Routine Consultations are by Appointment Only .
Consultation Times are 9am - 11am & 4pm - 6pm Mon-Fri, 9am - 12 Noon Sat.
Emergency Care is available 24 hrs a Day ,365 Days per year.
Please note: Weekend and Public Holiday Emergency After Hours Care is shared with another local clinic on a fortnightly basis. When calling the clinic after hours you will be given a contact number for the Vet/s on call.

Cannot thank Encounter Bay Vets enough for making my little girl Amber well again. It has been a frightening week not knowing what her problem was and I almost feared the worst. Tears of fear turned to tears of joy when everything turned out for the better. Have never known a veterinary clinic to show so much care and love and I've been to many. I truly love you all especially Eleanor, Sherry and Shaun for doing their magic. Thanks also to reception and everyone else helping out at the hospital. You are truly wonderful people.

We came in on the 26th with our little 13 year old Chihuahua, Lucy <3 Sadly because of her problems she had to be put to sleep, We were extremely upset and we were lucky enough to have the most kindest and understanding Vet, assistant and receptionist! He was so gentle and understanding, we really couldn't imagine getting treated better anywhere else We will definitely recommend this Vet Clinic to everyone, especially anyone who is making the very hard decision of putting to sleep their special pet Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for coming into work at 7.00pm on a Saturday night to treat my Pug for her popped out eye emergency. I cannot thank you enough for your care and concern. Thank you to your patient children who had to wait while you performed surgery on my little girl, she is recovering well in front of the fire. Snoring her head off.

Cannot thank Encounter Bay Vets enough for making my little girl Amber well again. It has been a frightening week not knowing what her problem was and I almost feared the worst.
